Unlocking a Hero Question.

If I unlock a Hero from a Priest am I able to use that Hero outside PvP?

No, when you unlock a hero from a priest, then you only unlock that hero for your pvp-only characters.

Well i heared something a bit different, well i just unlocked zenmai which you unlock from PvP in NF campaign and well i heared you can have that hero in PvE only if you have the right expansion for the person. For example, Zenmai is an assasin and Factions is based around assasins and well i heared that you need Factions to unlock zenmai and you need NF. Like Olias, i heared that you need prophecies for that. Is that true?

If you have factions on your account then you can get Zenmai in PvE.

You can unlock Zenmai and Olias for PvP-only characters without needing Factions or Prophecies. But for your PvE characters to recruit them, you will need Factions/Prophecies in addition to Nightfall, as the quests that let you recruit them take place in Cantha and Tyria (the recruiting quests can be picked up in Elona, but only become available to pick up if you have the right chapters on your account).

Wait - can you USE zenmai without factions? you would be lacking in assassin skills wouldnt you?

I'd imagine you could use Hero Skill Points and get a few sin skills from those.

You can only do this with the PvP unlock packs, afaik, and as such you would also be able to buy sin skills from Balthazars Priest which could then be used on Zen. I don't do a lot of PvP though, so someone will no doubt correct me if I'm wrong

Acquiring her and using her are two totally different things. Yes, it's possible to unlock her for PvP-only use without Factions, but without Factions you'll be missing virtually every critital assassin skill. Somewhat useless.
