1 kill needed in Hero Battles

I searched "herobattles" and found nothing on this subject, so I apologize if this is already posted, but do know I used the search option.


Anyways, Herobattles has became "who can heal battles" instead.

As we all know, Recall has completely ruined Hero Battles, and I do agree that Morale has too. However I highly doubt that Anet will fix this, as Hero Battles has about 15,000 ranked players playing it and enjoying it. And Recall is almost unfixable (adding an elite would mess up the titles and would be a lot harder to do then it would seem).

So basically. Make it so you HAVE to have AT LEAST one kill in Hero Battles.

How is this real pvp when NO ONE DIES. Many high ranked players use the Mo player with 3 R/P's, that are mainly defense, and with the recall monk just going around healing their heros and winning moral is ruining this fabulous arena.

So add 1 kill needed win.

Morale will stop at 19 points, and will not go to 20 unless an enemy is killed.

As for time limit, keep it the same. One with most points wins

I was doing some unranked HB the other night and the only time one team didn't get a kill was when someone resigned. I also watched a few 1v1 matches of the top players and there was at least one kill in each battle.

Anyways I'm going to disagree on prinicple. If you can win without a kill, more power to you.

I watch 1v1 Hero Battles a lot of the time. Have you seen a Monk Recaller vs a Monk Recaller battle? The better capper wins, no one gets killed, hell even half of them don't even get an enemy down to 50% half.

Umm your point deadlyassassin? That's how HB's have been from the start. They stink as a combat type because its mostly just running around. The good players design builds to hold shrines, that's it. Your suggestion, while interesting, won't improve the piss poor quality of hero battles, which are already pretty dead.

Please explain how this won't improve the "piss poor quality of hero battles".

Hero Battles was designed well, but has many flaws which make it so some players dislike the game. So does GvG, so does HA, so does AB and TA and RA. I myself enjoyed HB, but then people made monks and R/P's, which are all defense. The only thing the R/P's have are annoying little distracting spears and poison. The only way I have seen them kill is if one enemy is alone with no healing and they all mob that opponent.

I'd like it if people posted their HB rank, because it seems from most posts that I've read throughout hero battle threads people are saying the games a bunch of crap, but yet it seems they don't know much about the game.

PvP isn't all just about killing. I've seen many GvG matches where there was no killing of any members of the other team until 20+ minutes into the match. In an ideal AB situation where you don't have bad wammos charging straight into a mob of 12, there should be very little deaths as well.

Your suggestion will just make it so bad sins can run around hitting 1234567 and winning HB, resulting in even less variety of builds. All that's going to happen with your idea is a lot of people running around in circles getting shrines, with the occasional kill here and there by the sin.

Since you want people to post ranks, I was ~top 100 back when I played HB, and I still continue to watch some games here and there. You talk about HB rank, but you don't sound very intelligent about PvP in general.

Wouldn't asking for an increase in points per kill be better than asking for a nerf in this instance? If you want Anet to promote kills, ask them to buff your points to 2 per kill and keep caps at 1. Shrines become less important and people become more offensive because there is a clear advantage.

If you think HBs are bad now, just wait till you start seeing people running improvised smiteball spikes in them. That'll give them their kill but...ew...

Funny how you say that, because it seems you don't seem very intelligent in reading a thread at all. My problem is that people aren't getting a single kill in HB and are able to win. I'm not suggesting "make everyone kill each other"


GvG needs either a retarded enemy or at least some kills, TA and RA are all about killing, and AB, well, please tell me one match that contains no kills, sure you can win without them, but yet again, nearly impossible.

I've been playing for 2 years now, and you saying I'm not inteligent about PvP makes you seem like another jerk on forums trying to look big with your pathetic words.

The point of the shrine capping thing has escaped me in HB. Why was it never a just a battle like how RA/TA is? Shrine capping really sucks for me :/.
