GWars community Poll. List the pros & cons of the game and what you would change if you had your way.
Pros:
Free gameplay (vice WoW)
So many things to accomplish (i.e.: titles, gear, etc.)
Gameplay Concept (skill > time)
Cons:
PvP's too strict & oppressing (currently)
/report gets abused
spawn locations (certain areas)
I would revert the dishonorable system and /report, devise an alternative for players in-game being abused and fix all spawn locations so that players don't get mobbed while loading.

Pro:
Free to Play
Character customization, can look and play anyway you want
Rare equipment is not exponentially more powerful then common stuff
Can change everything about character (except primary profession that is)
Instances, so no waiting in line to kill creature X (I love instanced gameplay)
Cons:
Loot scaling
Bad chest drops
Titles costing 2-6 million gold and not being able to get that money due to the above points
Not rewarding to play due to the above points
Not being allowed into HA teams
Rude behavour of other players
No crackdown on scammers

Pro: Instanced play relieves most symptoms of pve problems, such as griefing, corpse camping, etc.(though these are present in pvp in some ways)
Story line provides a linear path to follow
cons:Story line is good but combined with instancing provides a world which seems to lack depth in certain areas. I.E. you can't just wander off into the horizon, as your movement is restricted in certain ways. While exploring is possible (non essential areas like Maguuma), the world seems small.
Figured I'd contribute, since I love the lore but have recently taken a closer look at what exactly the world lacks (that sense of a horizon to reach beyond). I figure a lot of this will be covered by GW 2, as the articles point out some interesting possibilities.
But that's just my two cents

The game is updated all the time which has made the this game sour for some while making it better for others.
Pros:
Free to play after initial purchase
Decent character customisation
Immersive PvE storyline
Regular weekend events
Skill > Time
Just as easy to solo as it is to group
Instant Travel
Fast to learn
Lotsa collectables (eg. Minis and hats)
Cons:
Very little non-grind PvE content after finishing the storylines
Guilds are account based
No mail system
Lousy trade system (personal Bazaars and/or Auction House for GW2 please)
Inconveniant cross-campaign travel (one large world map with GW2 expansions please)
Instancing outside of missions.

Pros:
Free Gameplay
Rewards by skill not hours played
Great Graphics
Expansions every so often to make the game fun
Fun events every so often
Cons:
Very greedy players
Scamming very common
All of the fun stuff was nerfed since people played it too much
Level 20 cap
Economic destruction of money

Pro: still has one of the best PvP systems around.
Cons: that's not saying much, considering the lack of good games to compare it to.
Also, not many people understand the game mechanics in place. (See: guy complaining about level cap, others) Not that you can fairly fault the game for the player base, though.

My pros: No monthly fee, I'd rather just pay 50-xx$ down and not have to worry about monthly stuff.. I mean when we all move on to Guild Wars:2 we don't have to cancel any subscriptions, just come back and play.
Easy to play! It's a quick pick up and learn game, and to be competitive it doesn't take much, so feeling like a ''noob'' isn't so harsh in Guild Wars, opposed to some other games.
Good graphics, this is my highlight, the game looks beautiful and it makes the experience of a game so much more fun.

Cons: Getting warp-lag-stuck because of a monsters ''Body Block Radius'', for instance grasps of insanity have a huge one. This resulting in lots of unwarranted deaths since the only way you know that you're stuck is if you /stuck. (thank god for that emote btw).
PvP, impossible for new players to get into GvG/HA unless they have hook-ups and know people, because the elitist community. Sure you have new players, and idiotic players, new intelligent players have the ability to learn, idiotic ones are a waste of time.
And on the note above, the rotten childish community, I mean stand in a town in an event and 90% of the time you will find immaturity, and not fun. Now of course every game has this, but I've noticed it significantly in Guild Wars, and that is perhaps because the kids don't need their mommy's credit card to play: Easy access to the game for them.
And last but not least, pugs are always fail, because people don't have respect or ''time'' while pugging, so you get that quiet Necro guy, who never talks, then in the middle of the mission he leaves out of random. Bah.. but again other mmo's probably have something like this too.

And I also agree with Chicken, not many good games to compare Guild Wars, I've tried every other online game out there but this one still wins it for me.
