Noob farming question...

Since i only got factions, i cant really farm, there is not a single build that doesnt require riposte, deadly riposte, healing hands, balthazars spirit, vig. So me being pissed off and all i took a healing hench and went to vermin. By the third group i got a celestial sword, then another. My question is, what effect do henchies have on loot?

after an update the loot is scaled to party size except of rare materials and golds.
so if you farm with a bot you'll get almost the same drops except of gold dropps and dyes, but nowadays golddropps and non-loot-scaled items are the main reasons for farming
