Well, I'm new to GW and new to farming, so I have a few questions.

I have a 55 monk build (I got my -50 Cesta and My +5 Energy 20% Enchant sword).
Full energy armor with Sup runes and rad sigs.
My skills are okay, and i've capped SoJ.

My skillbar is as follows:
Prot Spirit
Shielding Hands
Blessed Sig
Soj
Bath Spirit
Zealot
Mending
Blessed Aura

And as far as atts:
15 Healing
7 Smithing
15 Prot
3 Divine

As far as questions.
Well, i know my build needs a lot of work, and i've read all the guides and this is as far i've gotten. What I would like from you guys is tips to help me do ALOT better. Skills, where to place atts and where and what to farm. Please (PLEASE) don't post guides, just give me some tips.

Also, I only have the Prop Campaign so where are some good places to farm (i don't know the area, so i need specific places.

Sorry if I sound like a complete noob, but any help would be great.

needs more Healing Breeze.

[skill]Protective Spirit[/skill][skill]Healing Breeze[/skill][skill]Blessed Signet[/skill][skill]Shield of Judgment[/skill][skill]Blessed Aura[/skill][skill]Essence Bond[/skill][skill]Balthazar's Spirit[/skill][skill]Mending[/skill]

also needs better attributes. healing and prot are way too high.

16 smite (12 + hat + sup rune)
13 heal (10 + sup rune, breakpoint for +4 regen mending.)
9 prot (6 + sup rune)
9 Divine Favor (6 + sup rune)

there are about a gazillion variations of that build, but i've found that one to work, as well as be flexible. as far as places to farm... have you beat prophecies yet? Hard Mode makes farming worthwhile. there are a few places that you can farm in Normal Mode with a Monk primary that are still profitable, but there are few. I suggest practicing on the mobs of mountain trolls in the cave in Talus Chute, and also the mob of minotaurs at the start of the elona reach mission. those can only be done in Normal Mode. once Hard Mode is unlocked, there are many more places you can farm.

P.S. /b/, mr. anon?

Blessed sig is a waste IMO, get another damage spell like Balthazar's Aura , shielding hands or SoA.

Need to get to 16 smiting, then set high divine favor and then take healing and prot high. Need 6 pips of regen on healing breeze. Symbol of Wrath is a handy skill when not bot farming like the bar that you are using would indicate. Smite hex is also quite helpful. Especially if farming in areas like outside Bergen

@intarwebs: Blessed sig is good for new 55ers, as well as experienced ones in some places.

1 and 2 only apply to newfags and raids.

anyway, yes, blessed sig can save you when you don't have enough energy with 1 or 2 monsters left, and Zealot's Fire and Balthazar's Aura cause scatter, and most other damage skills from smiting are bad.

A Non,
With Mystic Regen, you can drop healing to 0 and put that into Earth Prayers. With only a 3 in Earth Prayers you get 2 pips of regen for each enchant (this includes maintained). Also, this allows you to get rid of Mending as you will have +10 health regen with MR. I would replace Mending with Essence Bond so everytime you get hit you get back 2 energy.

My Atts are:
Smiting: 16
Prot: 13
Divine: 12
Healing: 3 (Because of Sup. Rune)
Earth Prayers: 3

Other then that you are ready to roll.

Have fun,

Although you said you only have Prophecies, I'll assume you now have Nightfall (otherwise, you wouldn't have access to Mystic Regen).

An alternative you might consider would be replacing Blessed Signet and Smite Hex with Shield of Absorption and Shielding Hands. You can pretty much handle most everything, including massive degen if you spec high enough in earth prayers (I think I go 8 or 9 in EP). I would also agree with Krat about Essence Bond instead of Mending; Mystic Regen is more than enough to maintain your health. With SoA and SH, you aren't taking any damage in most cases anyway, so Mystic is really just for degen.

Another thing to consider is getting a staff with a 20% enchantment mod, Insightful Staff head and Hale and Hearty inscription (+5e^50% health). I like 105-ing better than 55-ing. The staff will have an inherent HSR 20%, which is really handy, especially when it hits on SoJ.

If you do have access to NF, farm the Corsairs outside the Astralarium or the Undead in the First City (if you have access to HM in NF, that is). In Prophecies, you might try farming Hydras and Desert Griffons in HM outside Augury Rock.
