pain invterter > 90% of dungeon bosses, including this one
Proff
having a mesmer hero with lots of interupts makes the boss an easy kill

BHA turns this dungeon into a playground for scrubs. Nerf it.
Warskull
Take one AI ranger with broad head arrow, daze the guy, then beat him stupid.

They did. Dazed won't work in HM.

Good good, now just nerf whatever does work for it.

gotta be REALLY careful what path you take and what you pull, but i found this worked for me really well:
this was a strange build, but i wanted to manage all my stuff without bringing a mesmer, even though i needed a mes skill in case bha ranger failed to interrupt things around focus target that needed to be shut down. i needed everyone else, but primary mesmers will find this easy since psychic distraction owns at higher atts...
basics:
me on necro as psychic distraction, barbs, pain inverter, mark of pain, and i think i even had diversion too...
spirits rit hero with shelter, union, vital wep, and whatever else. as long as shelter is there and you micromanage it before each fight, youll be fine.
paragon hero with cautery sig. wow, this works so well against diamond shards and all that junk. the rest of his bar was damage, damage, damage--and watch yourself. no hard res, just use res sig. that way you can put 14 in spear and 12 tactics :P
broad head arrow ranger hero (put whatever else on hero's bar. im thinking like 3 interrupts. as long as there is a way to get out bha fast--im sure read the wind or rapid fire might work, but not sure. didnt have it in bar at the time, but something i thought about after i did it.)

i made this build up for normal, and also took it into hardmode. the first time through normal it wasted me on my balance hench build, so i made it up to improve myself, time, and dp, and it actually was perfect in normal. no death, short battle. i swear the battle against remnant lasts about 1-2 minutes in normal and hard. i had a tough time on the first level in hard though, i accidentally pulled way too many things. also the spiders pose as some type of threat as well in hm, so i assume if there are too many groups or too big of a group, pick them off one at a time. after that, pain invert the avalanche, let h/h go after everything else, and you are guaranteed a win in under 8 min on that last map
a few tactics: pick off his minions first, then go for him, and remember to stay out of that choke zone on the bridge (h/h like to ball in it). personally, i like going off to the left once i am off the bridge, and just let my h/h eat him alive.

A ward might help, he uses deep freeze doesn't he? and mesmer tricksies yes, migraine+power drain or something along those lines.
And what the hell is this about daze not working in HM? I knew they had double cast time, but I didn't know monsters were allowed to cheat .

yeah, just leave us with freny, mending and ursan blessing to shut everyone who might be whining about weak skills! In 2-3 months there will be no whining at all, since there will be noone to whine.
Anyway, my and my guildies got that boss in HM yesterday - BHA ranger with SQ did the trick alright.

Why? They have been staple Caster-Shutdown skills since, like, forever. In PvP someone can move out of the AoE, or have someone remove the dazed, but in PvE if the Monster doesn't have a monk to remove his dazed then I'm afraid to say, it's GG Mr. Remnant of Antiquities.
If we're nerfing those NORMAL skills for being imbalanced and making PvE doable perhaps we shoud also nerf all forms of blind, along with knockdown skills, interrupts...and hell, Mesmers definitely need to be ground into dust...because, y'know, skills like Diversion are just so darn imbalanced and can't be gotten around by game designers with skills like this when need be.

It was just a little joke guys, we cool.

hilarious joke. relevancy to thread perfect too ^^
I agree with Sorin, Pain Inverter
use wards to reduce damage to manageable levels and PI will still be doing the max damage to him. Cast off interrupts when PI is recharging and you'll be done in no time; easy to h/h in HM once you've got it down.

Meh, just bring BHA and something has has a fast attack speed (Warrior is good, or even the Summon Vanguard Assassin thing), and it's super easy.
