Hey, I was wondering if anyone knew a good spot to farm ele tomes. I was thinking the mergoyles outside gates of kryta, but I was looking for some input .

You can 55 in Farhunur and go to the far corner. theres a huge group of those ele plants and a bss there, just be sure to bring fleeting stability.

Most of wiki's E/A solo green boss farmer build can farm the same bosses in hardmode. I'd look into that as well. Infact Scar Eater is about 20 times easier in hard mode, and the elite monk tome is about 3-5 times worth more then the scar eater staff.

oh nice, lol i will just farm scar eater till i get enough money from it to buy all the ele tomes i want! lol

Don't use wiki go to the cliff technique. I find it better to do it like in normal mode, as the scar eater gets destroyed in about 3-5 seconds. Run passed the rez shrine, up the lil hill the right, and wait for the mob coming at you to make a U turn, then run thru the middle of the 2 mobs, aggroing both barely. Make sure you have dark escape or you WILL die. You'll be left with little health, and sometimes the Spawned Oni will use scorpion wire that may screw you over. But with Deaths Charge you should be left with lil health, if you teleport intime.
Cast shadow form, then glyph of elemental power, then death charge in (if you have shaterstone on you w/o dark escape on teleport first then cast glyph) then cast sliver armor and watch the 26 or so damage spam across the screen.
Also, after he's dead you should have a lot of time before shadow form and sliver armor run out, and it's recharged, so you can sit awhile, cast again, and sit and watch the enemies die... getting some necro tomes as well (or random objects, I've gotten a few black dyes, golds, and coins)

Easiest spot is outside Gyala Hatchery in Maishang Hills.
A 55 SV Mo/N can finish off the Kappa there in no time, and they drop Elementalist Tomes fairly frequently.
Not so sure about the elite tomes though...

If you have an ele, get him the solo green farming build ( look @ pvxwiki), and then farm Birneh Skybringer (http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Image...ringer_map.jpg)
He's easy to farm in HM and drops elite tomes, normal tomes and a green weapon that can be sold for ~1k

farming this guy is good...i had 2 elites drop in 1 evening from him...plus his green drop can be sold for between 5-10k

The Kappa on noob island in Factions HM give them up as well. Hit up Kinya Province with the 55 N/Mo or 330 hp vengeful rit and have a ball

Drakes outside Sant'Anjeka Shrine (you need a quest to make them spawn) drop normal ele tomes in HM, and the run takes 2 mins at most with a 55hp ...

farming titans outside LA with 55hp - it usually gives me 3-6 normal ele tomes/run, and loads of golds (5-10/run - most of them are runes) - 1 run takes for 30-45 mins

Hydras in the Crystal Desert for normal tomes.
Hajkor for Elite Tomes; his green sells for ~5-7k and it's a quick run, Margonites might also drop a gold armor or something for you too.

theres a earth ele (the elementals) boss that *can* spawn outside of sardelac.... super duper easy. no, make that pathetically easy.

The earth eles outside Serenity Temple are another easy option for HM farming regular warrior and elementalist tomes, as well as the ones outside Sardelac (I've gotten elites from those bosses too).
