There is absolutely no comparison between the PvP and PvE skills acquirement change. PvP used to have to get all their skills the same as everyone else. But the total catering to the PvP game allows them to open skills on their account, keep and eliminate characters to change primary, and use anything they want anytime they want for a tiny bit of effort opening the skills once.
PvP should have to open the skills for each character just like PvE or PvE should only have to open the skills once to have available for any character they make. (And I can see limiting it to the non-elite skills because of the skill hunter title, but only with that limitation.) PvP never has to pay for their skill per character after they are open. For someone who plays the full PvE game, even if they PvP to open a skill they still are penalized by having to purchase it for each and every character they have. (In my case, if I open a skill it still costs me upto 10k to get it for all 10 of my characters.) And no, the answer isn't well just get it once and use it on your heroes. There are places where everyone needs the skill (Mantra of Earth against the Draught, Frigid Armor in Regent's Valley HM, set builds fo GWEN since certain arenas are designed against certain types of play/classes).
And I agree, they don't talk at all about the nerf bat being wolloped on the Necro class, and barely mention the destruction of the usefulness of Ele's with the AoE nerf - after which they only reason people liked Ele's was for unending E/Mo healing. Now with the Dervish, Warriors are just second rate guards who can't keep up.
The article is a good sumary of general changes for those who weren't here. It can only piss off again anyone who ever tried to achieve something they liked in the game.
