Beat Disc of Chaos Solo!?!

Hi there!
So last night was helping a couple friends with Destructions Depths and got to the part where you zone to the CTC. One of my friends lost connection and when we got to the other side we had no healers. YAY! So we said what the hey lets do a suicide run. We got wiped badly and both had 45% DP, I was the last one standing so I ran at the disc and started swinging. I happened to be standing right where the defense golem was when it got deactivated. I noticed a skill on me called Phase Shield and realized I was taking zero damage from the disc and a destroyer of thought. I keyed up Ursan Blessing and chipped away until the disc died taking no damage the whole time. Took forever! That guy has some serious health! Even though the golem was off you could see a glow around his torso. Bug/glitch? Happen to anyone else?

Wtf??!?! lol this must be a bug. <_< gratz on soloin the disc of chaos btw...

Its not a glitch. There is some way to activate that skill the golem was using.
Either that or it just randomly generates the shield when it dies at certain times.
The first time i went through that area with a group the same thing happened twice. Once by the Norn and once at the disk of chaos.

Thanks! lol, funny thing is even though I took no damage Ursan Blessing was fully powered the whole time as if I was taking damage!

I remember when all my party apart from talk, got him to ps the golems while the chipped away at the disk.

But this is amazing,gonna see i it works for me.

I'm not sure how you make it happen. I think its just random when the golem powers down.

But it is definately not a glitch

Cool, this kinda thing happened to me in hard mode in the bit of the mission where you fight with the Norn. My party wiped and i was left by myself and managed to kill 10 destroyers while in the golems Phase Shield, it was classic I even have screenys of it i think.

its not just when the golem powers down occasionally when your party is going down quick he will activate it and stand on you

Heck yeah! I wish I knew about this instead of running around and dying. I should have stood next to a Golem! I'm gonna check this out.

Is it ONLY defence type golems that do this?

Lol I solod the Disc too on my Rt, but not with the Phase Shield. Was spiritspamming Rt that does 236 armorignoring dmg per attack with spirits. Sadly the enormous health on the thing made it last very long. The reason why I survived was I kep ressing the Golems (all Melee) and he got angry at them and not me.

Another thing I noticed on another character is when I used 3 Melee golems on him, they were circling him on all sides and then got killed. This made them bodyblock the Disc and somehow he couldnt even cast any skills. Easy defeat. ^^
