Celestial Weapon Farms?
SotiCoto
I'm putting out an official request for all possible farming options for Celestial Weapons. For the time being, I have been farming them with my Assassin from Vermin in Xaquang Skyway... and opening chests along the route too... but this is a seriously slow process, albeit a very safe one. I'm looking for a better option.
What I know is this:
Celestial Weapons drop from:
#1. Nahpui Quarter Mission
#2. Vermin in Xaquang Skyway
#3. Mantids in Waijun Bazaar
To the best of my knowledge... none of them can be 55-farmed. The Vermin can allegedly be Rit-farmed, but my attempts at using an echoed VwK build failed miserably (too much damage taken). Apparently the Mantids can be farmed by an Obsidian Flesh Ele build... but I know nothing more about that. Nahpui Quarter can be duo-farmed, but I'm more of a solo-farmer.
So the questions:
#1. Which is the FASTEST build for farming Celestial Weapons? (Quicker kills)
#2. Which is the EASIEST build for farming Celestial Weapons? (Most foolproof and simple maintenance)
Random note: I don't have any primary Mesmers, Warriors nor Paragons that can access the area (I have a Warrior, but she is aiming for LDoA in Pre-Searing, which puts her out of the picture for months).

They also drop during the Mission Tahnnakai Temple and the explorable from the Temple Guardians; you may want to add that to the list of what drops them and where.
I'm not entirely sure about which one is fastest, but this one is quite easy to use against Vermin. Just replace two of the skills with Mystic Regeneration and Fleeting Stability.

I haven't tried yet, but I don't think it will be that fast with just those skills, also because you have to replace one of your damaging skills for either Fleeting Stability or Mystic Regeneration.
There is also a build for a 55HP monk, solely for farming Vermin, although it's not in Hard Mode (That's why I personally like the Elementalist one a little bit more). Again, this build utilizes Fleeting Stability so you don't get knocked down.

The 330HP Vengeful Spirit Bonder can do Nahpui Quarter in Hard Mode, but it seems like there was some update that made it impossible, or at least more difficult... I haven't tested it ever since that update too, I'm sorry.

nahpui quarter mission was the easiest imho (before nerf)
could be soloed for most part with a 55

I used to farm them in Nahpui Quarter with my 330hp Vengeful Spirit Bonder rit, but since the nerf it's way more difficult. The Star Lights cast Nightmare Weapon either on themselves or the Star Blades immediately now, where before they would only cast when their health was low. I've been playing around with the build slightly to try and counter it, but so far it's a no go.
Nightow
Anyone tried it using some of the Gwen skills like Pain inverter or Radiation Field? (Just a thought)

Firstly, the nightmare weapon thing have been there forever, so no, it hasnt been nerfed. I farm the mission with my 330hp rit in HM and I never die. Some mission I run without nightmare weapon being cast a single time, and sometimes it happens right through. Its pure random chance. It is very easy to manage with the build.

[skill]glyph of swiftness[/skill][skill]obsidian flesh[/skill][skill]aura of restoration[/skill][skill]armor of earth[/skill][skill]stoneflesh aura[/skill][skill]stone striker[/skill][skill]mantra of earth[/skill][skill]sliver armor[/skill]
The safest, though slowest build for Vermin in HM. If you can e-manage efficiently, replace stonestriker+mantra of earth with [skill]essence bond[/skill] and [skill]obsidian flame[/skill].

105 Necro/Mo or Monk/N can easily do it
Spoil Victor, Life Siphon, Prot Spirit, SoA, Heal Breeze, Essence Bond, Balth Spirit and and optional one...Maybe Blessed signet
Just start by attacking the Star Lights first and dont attack anything else until they are dead. If you do this, they will not cast nightmare weapon at all.
Very decent drops is HM, especially all the feathers you can get from there.

I haven't done the run i used to, but when i did i stayed behind walls, corners, anything that blocks attacks. And that way i could clear everything in there except celestials.

There are many ways to counter Nightmare Weapon as a 55. First of all, you should be 105-135 HP, and you can use [skill=text]Insidious Parasite[/skill] and/or [skill=text]Spirit Bond[/skill]with low armor to heal through the life steal. It's probably best to avoid hits altogether. Use walls and corners. Just practice.

EDIT: removed build due to fear of nerfing

IMHO the fastest and easiest is running HM chests in TT...assuming you consider chest running as farming AND have a few picks (50+) to start. I've always made money back in elite tomes alone and found some decent weps on top of that.
silversix
vermins farm on HM with E/D is enough..
Masacru Ak
the same problem i have , those Star light use nightmare weapon and all is over , must start again but is not worth it , i was try with 55 Mo and 55 N and i fail . E/M is much to slow to kill them and you get bored:/ some ideas?
Solus Spartan
Vwk + 330hp ritty can farm naphi.
FengShuiDove
Infinite Shadow Form chain. Chest run it in HM. Plenty of elite tomes and Celestials.
Since you really only need 3 skills for the chain, play around with the other 5. There are some excellent combos, using either Sin chains or heavy Mesmer hexes.

onerabbit

can farm almost all but the Rits , I was trying with the smiter + 600 and it works , instead of echo or mantra etc, bring Spirit Shackles. Kill the party and leave the Rit last, then cast spirit shackles on the rit till he runs out of energy and he will die xD.
Only issue with this build is passing the bosses :S

Blind> Nightmare weapon
Try an ebon dust aura dervish?
Or
Perhaps an assassin with, Assassin's Promise and Blinding powder(so that blinding powder is able to be refreshed enough to stop Nightmare weapon)
Really just throwing Ideas out there...
Blind ftw.
or critical defenses, as far as I know Nightmare doesn't beat block either ^.^
Also found this for you

I came up with this build , I know I am not a pro build builder but it works :P
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVYsUrPjslg (I died on the video because I failed the combo and a rit was behind ¬¬ )
No HW tho , and only tengus, ensoriki your build seems interesting ^^ I may try it today.
EDIT: Good I just swapped Shadow Refuge for Critical Agility and it works better now

i chestrun there in HM with 330hp rit, i used to farm them but i have noticed that they only drop celestial items when they are wearing them ( ys rly!), so now i only kill groups where i see them.
oh_oh_joe
heh, interesting thing. On one of my runs I ran into a star blade that had a cele shield, i killed it and it didnt drop -_-

Any special 330 build, or standard 330 from Rezz's thread?
Neriandal Freit
Do we have any Ele versions of this?
I really am in need of Feathers for Essence of Celerities making for Vanquishing some areas. Celestials are just a bonus :P

Yes. The Ele version can solo nahpui quarter beginning to end, and everything in between. One solo run usually nets me about 130 or so feathers. Just farming the middle two bosses is the easiest. If you only farm from the far left boss to the 2nd boss (but dont actually kill 2nd boss) you can just do a pure terratank build and forego Ob flesh. That'll kill much faster and you dont have the speed penalty of ob flesh. Here's the build to solo.... All geomancer armor 20% enchant weapon 16 earth 9 inspiration 4 air magic whatever is left in energy storage Glyph of Swiftness Obsidian Flesh Sliver Armor Kinetic Armor Aura of Restoration Stone Striker Mantra of Earth Stoneflesh Aura Usage: ALWAYS use glyph of swiftness....then directly after....Ob Flesh and sliver armor. This will allow you to maintain ob flesh, and ALMOST maintain sliver armor. Just maintain the rest of them. For farming, you can lose glyph, ob flesh, and sliver. Good replacements are Sandstorm, Dragon Stomp, and Aftershock. Bodyblock them into corners where possible, though one casting should wipe out most well aggro'd foes. With this build you can only farm from kirin boss to turtle boss (or vice versa, as long as u dont kill the turtle). Like this only 2 skills can even deal damage to you....those are signet of judgment and nightmare weapon, both of which are easily manageable with AoR. KennyC
I use this for HM Naphui Quarter - its very very fast and so easy a one fingered monkey could do it.
Tank. 600 Tank Monk, this build. Owgj4oPboO1DtoFj4hX3H6D5BA Bonder. I use Gwen when guildies aint about but I swear the bitch takes all my drops. She uses this build. Monks are great too as are any chars with 4 pips of regen - as long as they have the bonds of course. OQNCAcwzJRmAAEqhE6R+AfA Instructions - All bonds on the Tank. Before agro prot spirit and sb - run in. At this point cast scourge healing on any starlights. Only cast scourge healing IMMEDIATELY after sb. Re cast sb as required and repeat scourge healing as needed. If theres a large mob of mellee/archers cast VWK repeat until they are all dead. When you have only star lights left VW + ROD for pwnage. They die so fast its a joke. I average out on 3-4 celestial weapons per run a stack and a half of feathers for 20 minutes work. Peace out - Ken. **edit - btw this kills everything but the 4 bosses. yhm
I used to run this solo build like ages ago in Nahpui Quarter Mission NM. Not sure if it still work.
Standard spirit bond monk with lowest AR armor,(I think i run with ~360hp) SOJ Prot spirit spirit bond blessed sig blessed aura retribution(use essence bond if you have energy issue) balth spirit Scourge Healing 16 smite, 10+ prot, 10+ DF totem axe or similiar +20% enchantment, any offhand(i use Byzzr's Benediction) Pretty standard routine, pre-cast enchantment, aggro, spam spirit bond/prot spirit. Keep scourge healing on the starlight. I think I can handle 2 groups with 3 starlight. Skip all celestial bosses. I don't have 600 smite armor anymore. So, someone with the gear can probably test it. Avatar Exico
Think i tryed this on NM. The 2 man W/Mo Tank/Bonder works awsome there. With the Bonder having Life Barrier/Life Bond your Tank is a Invicable. have AoE Dmg and dont have to worry about being killed by Vamp Weapon skill. The for the Warrior that i use as the tanker is in this order Decap+Ex Strike+Cyclone(Spammable). This Build is incredable on Vermins in NM.

yeah scourge healing is ftw against rits in faction, when they have a weapon spell on and they cast wielder's boon, well they take twice dmg from scourge healing which is 84 + 84 at 16 smiting :O
