Dragon Slash Builds
yesitsrob
Some random Dragon Slash builds because Dragon Slash is king for warriors in PVE. I know said builds have been mentioned before but they tend to be burried in threads that have riposte builds or something else bad.
Appropriate Pug Build
Swordsmanship: 14
Strength: 13
For Great Justice
Standing Slash
Sun And Moon Slash
Dragon Slash
"Save Yourselves"
Res Signet
Flail
"There's Nothing To Fear"
Utility is based mainly on supporting your party. With FGJ and Dragon Slash you can maintain Save Yourselves on your party for a long period of time, and with no energy skills, IAS and Sun and Moon you can easily use TNTF on recharge.
I'd use the above build as a sort of template, but depending on the circumstances it's worth tweaking.
_
Lots of Utility Build
In DoA recently I used
For Great Justice
Standing Slash
Sun And Moon Slash
Dragon Slash
"You Move Like A Dwarf"
Distracting Blow
Flail
Rending Touch
The build was largely based on dominating the Dual Margonite groups, but YMLAD and D Blow worked excellently together, allowing for easy quaterbreaks on anything (getting Grenth's Balances was rather exciting), and interrupts on highly predictable Vocal Minorities/Soothing Images and Blurred Visions.
YMLAD is also extremely amazing in The Deep and Cathedral of Flame - Kanaxai's Nightmare Refuge has a 10s recharge as does YMLAD, you can simply interrupt it by catching the first one then using it on recharge. The same applies to Murukai and her Condition inflicting skill thing. But for a warrior in the deep it means you don't have to waste your elite on a bad skill like Shove
_
For areas where things actually bleed you can ditch Standing Slash and a Utility skill for Sever and Gash
For areas where things have a lot of evasion you can ditch Standing Slash for Wild Blow
_
Other options would be to add Conjures if you are just looking for straight forward DPS, it's not an option I tend to use because I like Orders in PVE, but it's a good one all the same. The Conjures have great synergy with skills like Sun and Moon (as do Orders)
_
The Damage these can output can be increased with assistance from the rest of your team.
Splinter Weapons is a great choice (again great synergy with SnM), Order of Pain as I have mentioned, Ebon Battle Standard of Honour. Anthem of Fury will all help.

A question on the first build, TNTF only lasts 4 second's on a warrior-is it really worthwhile taking it? Just curious as I have never used on my warrior.
yesitsrob
When it was 10 second recharge it could often be chained on 2 or 3, I guess now it will fill in the gaps of a Paragons TNTF, it is still however an instant cast delayed Party Heal, but Breath of the Great Dwarf might be a better option at times. I haven't actually used it on my warrior in a fair while, though this has a lot to do with a) having a lot of Paragons in the guild and b) not playing my warrior a great deal.
It was often kind of sad how having multiple copies of TNTF was more effective than having one on a Paragon, you got the same reduced damage coverage but more party wide healing.
I'll also add TNTF is useful the instant you engage the group, it reduces the initial damage spike you tend to receive when engaging

Thats interesting, good point about the initial dmg reduction i never really considered that, i'll give it a try.

Not one mention of Brawling Headbutt? It even gives you a reason to use Steelfang Slash...
Tut-tut, Rob, get with the times! YMLAD! is good, aye, but on DSlash... Headbutt's recharge is however long it takes to hit that next Slash.
... though... I can see situations where I'd rather have the insta-KD of YMLAD!
And yeah, even on 4 second duration... TNTF! is still incredibly strong, Whiskey.

Yeah i use it all the time on my Para but for some reason never considered it for my warrior.
Re: Brawling headbutt, agreed it rarely leaves my bar these days.

Brawling Headbutt is a really cool idea actually, I guess it has it's advantages and disadvantages
YMLAD can be used to interrupt 3/4 casts, at ranged, instant cast - and you don't have to stop doing what you're doing.
Headbutt can only reliably catch 2s casts, and to use it you have to stop dragon slashing for a moment due to the 3/4 cast time. But obviously once you get your initial one off you're keeping something on it's ass for a long time which is pretty incredible. - It's also not quite as relevant if you're using Great Dwarf Weapon in your party which will achieve pretty much the same effect. GDW is amazing too.

... I can't really comment on GDW, I'm never in groups with people

Problem with GDW is that it's 'target other ally' so you can't use it in a H/H group on yourself. That is though you can bring Aidan who has Barrage so he's makes the best use out of it
Marty Silverblade
Grr when I first saw GDW and didn't see the 'other ally' bit, I thought [Conjure + "I am the Strongest" + Great Dwarf Weapon = +50 damage, +42 from DSlash on every hit, + base weapon damage] Shame it doesn't work out.

you could add in "For Great Justise" too in general PvE, i had a lot of fun using dragon slash and FGJ...with swordsmanship 10and above, it fully recharges dragon slash....use this with frail = lots of laughs...
edit: oops, i didnt see FGJ....lol srrryyy...

I always take enduring harmony, 30 secs of SY! is better than 20.
I rarely use Steelfang or SUnAndmoon slash. Most of the time they become useless once Dslash is charged. I prefer to take only Dslash then spam it when charged.
I rarely use Brawling Headbutt. Yes it's ultra great Vs bosses, but you just don't need it that much in numerous mobs. I take it only wehn I know I will face big bosses (Kanaxai, etc...)
TNTF is still powerful, but it's energy drain added to its 20 secs recharge now is quite a skill slot burden on a warrior character.
Anyway now, you don't even need to make a SY! build on your warrior. Just take Ursan Blessing with your zealous sword and rampage DoA.

Brawling Headbutt is so good in combination with dragonslash and/or steelfang slash it is hard not to take it. Perfectly knock locking things for 20s at a time is just ridiculous. KDing something is about the only thing worth breaking your dragonslash frenzy for.
Surena
I heard Rob misses "Gale".
Steelfang and Headbutt is an extremely good combo. I'm tempted to utilize more physicals in the future.
I should be less lazy with AB first though.

Make gale the old knockdown time and 5 energy again.

HI,
It will make any difference in this kind of build (FGJ/Flail/DS/...) to use a furious sword?
I know before DS charge it will make, but after that, will it have any gain?
My self use to go with
Flail, DS, SY, Headbutt, Steelfang, "Finish Him", FGJ, (depends - Standing S., REZ, ...)

dont take Sun and Moon Slash, it hardly does any damage at all when your enemies become above lvl 20

Use it with conjure. It also gives +1 adrenaline when used
Spellforge
Just a note - my build uses Drunken Master instead of Flail for the IAS
I know its only ~15 % compared to 33% but it stays up a long time so I don't need to remember to kick it off again - can be kept up indefinately and actually increases my movement speed (Flail causes a slow down that means even within one mob a slow walk between targets) which means I can move quickly to the next target
Also as it can be on all the time I can use Sentry armour and have +10 armour as the stance can always be on , Also I use a shield that reduces damage while in a stance......
