What's the point with XP?

OK, i know some of you may harass me about this but I have to ask...

What is the point of having missions with 15k-20k xp when i've been lvl 20 since the Wilds? I've tried to find the answer. Maybe there isn't one. It just didn't make any sense to me that a lvl 20 mission would be worth 15000 xp when I can't even use the XP. Don't get me wrong. I love the game and continue to enjoy all the missions and have a lot of fun. This was just one thing that I did not understand and thought I would ask a pro out there.

Thanks
Mystic

xp gives you skill points, with the skill points you buy skills.
Yes I agree that most of the 15k xp quests for older characters dont make sense but I think they gave up trying to figure out good rewards.

Consumables are also a very good reason to spend skill points.

To sum up:

Xp gets you skill points. Skill points are needed to buy skills. Skill points are also needed to buy "consumables" in Eye Of The North.

Btw, one of those consumables - the Star of Transference - can be used to transfer skill points from one character to another.

I don't know if it's been mentioned before, but I'd like to see some title track implemented for XP. Nothing that has an effect on gameplay, or gives an advantage, but merely for e-peen purposes. Say starting at 500,000XP and then a different title for every additional 500K (or million) earned.

I think a title track needs to be a challenge. So maybe starting at 2 million would be a more reasonable difficulty. highest rank would probably end at how ever many skill points are need to buy every skill in the game..

If you have heroes, those quests are also very useful to level them. Especially Sousuk or Jin when you get the one you didn't pick at the end of nf.

As it has been posted before XP is for skills points that can be used for buying skills, consumables, and if your going for that type of thing skill caps for elites. If your going for the skill hunter title it is 291 skill points you would need to for all three campaigns.
Regarding an XP title I dont think that one would really be necessary since it would really be a gimme. Most people that would go for one like that would already be working on some of the other titles and would be recieving insane amounts of XP anyhow. My necro has 15 titles maxed and she is already pushing 7million in XP. And the one "God Walking Amoung Mere Mortals" (30 Maxed titles) I met a (Initials are ZZ Sorry I can't remember how to properly spell her name) has 26-27 million XP.
