Wah wah it's a whine about what a crock random chance is. What brings this about is Mad King Thorn's rock-paper-scissors game. At the 12:00pm event , America-English District 72, one person was picked 3 times (once in the beginning and twice in a row in the middle) and another was picked twice (once in the beginning and once in the middle). Both at the same periods of rock-paper-scissors. I don't believe these things rarely happen because two people got picked twice in the 9:00am event, forgot district, in a similar manner.
My chances are already slim on getting stuff but when repeats happen to a singular person while there're so many others missing out seems unfair. This brings to mind things like the ectoplasm or obsidian shard drops where sometimes there's just one person collecting five-six ectos/shards while the rest of the group gets one, two, or none.
Is it possible to assign a block to chances after a person in a group has already received either a pick or an item? I don't remember what it's called, basically if there're 100 people and person 34 gets picked, the next time the sample? will be person 1-33, 35-100. Set a reset after everyone else had a chance. Thoughts?

I bet there are moderators in game that specifically make sure certain people keep getting drops just to piss other party members off.

Mad King is controlled by Gaile, and she makes sure to guide the event in such a way that as many people as possible get upset.
Same for chests. Anet has employees that manually pick what you get, so that you're disapointed the most. And when they see someone is about to quit, they throw in a semi-decent drop.
And then, they read these forums, and /lol.

True randomness: 1, 6, 3, 3, 9, 4, 7, 1, 3, ...
Randomness when "I" am the number 5: 5, 5, 1, 5, 5, 5, 8, 4, 5, 5, 5, ...
You are not talking about "randomness" but about "fairness", i.e. equal distribution over time but with unpredictable variation. Randomness has an inherent side of "fun" and "sadness", in that it can pick you several times in a row or not for a long time.

Same thing with the lockpick retention debate really.

The Randomness in this game is as random as random can get, thats why you were randomly picked as a random victim of a random event which leaded to the random event of you creating a random thread about it, causing me to randomly reply with this random message.
Random............
