I'm assuming you're not trying to beat Cyndr in Hard Mode, but instead Magmus? (i.e. You're not doing the primary quest in hard mode).

Getting to Magmus was simple enough. I played Ele and went with hero and henchmen, blinding all the way. I think I took Sousuke as Earth Magic with wards, Livia as an N/Rt healer, and Hayda, along with Herta, Mr. "60% DP" Mhenlo, Lina and Zho

Once at Magmus we aggroed him and caused all his little buddies to spawn. Most of his little friends can be lured away with a bow and killed few-by-few. When it came to Magmus, I charged at him with the hench flagged at the entrance to the room and dragged him back...had him waste his Savannah Heat on me and then laid the smack down with the heroes. The Magma Blisters he spawns at the end aren't much of a problem.

Perhaps if you told us your profession, maybe gave us your build we could comment on it and suggest ideas on how you can get through the dungeon.

Spiteful Spirit is a pretty straight up skill to use for Hard Mode. Works well.

As for the clerics, I sneak around them...I've never fought them.

Use holy damage on those clerics and undead at the start, they're dead in a few seconds

Quest Of Ages

Take the back route (leave from Olafstead). Its longer on the outside but no VoS dervs. Bring a blind-bot with you (blinding surge/blinding flash&e-attune/glimmering mark). Have a tank there who can live thru the magma waves. I have kinetic armor tanked them before with obi, which isnt bad as ele primary, I'm sure some kind of sig stamina/endure pain/ele resist or obi tank would work too. Once the tank has aggro, unflag your hench for the killing spree.

just start f rom central transfer chamber. way faster to reach HoS. just lure the ooze little by little and use pain inverter on Magmus right after he casts savannah's

I also did that once..but gave up after 10 minutes of useles bashing. Just sneak past them Which shouldn't be a problem if you hug the left wall.
