90%. Then if they make that 90% miss roll, they make another 50% roll. If they make that one, they make a 25% roll. If they make that one, they make a 50% roll. If they make that one, they hit.

.. So according to my Windows calculator, their chance of hitting is .05625%.

The calculation might be off...I came up with something different.

(1-.90)*(1-.50)*(1-.50)*(1-.25) = 1.875%

Roughly 1 in 53 attacks should hit, so it's not surprising that the aatxes occasionally do damage, especially when facing multiples.

I can't for the life of me figure out how you came up with that.

If you do your math as indicated it equals 2% exactly.
.1*.5*.5*.75 = .02 or 2%

You have to get lucky to get through those odds, but it can still happen as the number of attempts increases.

.05*.5=.025

Maybe your calculator is set to round to the nearest hundredth?

Yup, It was set to 2 decimal places. Stupid calculator, stupid, stupid.

I did it like 5 times (which makes me insane) before I figured that out.

BUT... doesnt Guild Wars round everything down anyway?
