Fix Legendary Defender of Ascalon!

If you only want it for KoaBD title then just go for Legendary Survivor, its far easier. But i agree after leaving pre it should vanish its a pre searing title. And the point is, you earned the title and you can show it off, in pre

its cus little cry babies like u they WERE gonna change the legendary survivor title, and its cus of dedicated players who dont want theses changes that saved it....the whole idea of a title is suppose to be hard work(yes even the protector titles), but just cus u wanna bigger party size we all have to suffer YET ANOTHER nerf....nah man deal with what it already is....and as for a new armor WTF that'd beat the purpose of Post Searings Ascalon armor, my words are Deal With what you got now, or just dont deal in that area!!!

For the original poster, no, it can't be changed now. Not after so long time and so many people investing so much playing time into that title.

In a way it's the most ridiculous title ever. You're called a "Legendary Defender of Ascalon" by getting your ass kicked one million times by stupid furrballs ten levels below you.

Well, you've got the basic theory right, but if anyone did what you just said, they'd be wasting their time. You should be leveling the Charr until they're the same or one level higher than your character. It takes a lot longer than 2 hours (I think it's something more like 12, from what I can remember), but you do get a lot more XP.

It's a very good, detailed guide for a mesmer to hunt Charr solo. The only thing it doesn't have is state a recommended level that a character should start trying to solo. But, generally, that's around level 12.

It's a large community of pre searing players. Almost all of them are very friendly people, and would be willing to help you out if you just ask. I would offer you help myself, since I have a mesmer and necro currently in pre, but they're very low level, so it won't really help. Anyway, good luck with it.

i am currently going for the LDoa title with my ele and find the dificulty level just fine. any charcter can level over the wall. lower levels have bout 20 lvl 5 oakheats and 12 lvl 3 grawl to kill. there is even some lvl 2 animals for the very low guys.

I do disagree with the concept of afk titles. LDoA, drunkard and to a certain extent lucky/unlucky. i just see very little point to an part of the game that physically prevents you from playing the game. i like GW and want to play it. but going for this title i keep thinking "oh cant play today again going for that bloody title".

would it upset folk if they were to just add a lvl 14 boss to the game? or even make skullreaver lvl14. he's out of the way. it would still take a long time to repeat kill him. the title would still be hard. and he obviously wouldnt even have charr kits or charr bags. so people would only ever use him for xp.

Idea: ADD HM TO PRE when a char reaches LVL 12, no stupidly pathetic death leveling which was unintentional but happened and meant anet didnt have to do to it.

...forcing the worst imbalance ever created. LDoA only exists in honor of the people who love Pre so much they won't leave it. Don't make it "easier," or you'd piss more people off than you could think.

Kinda funny, This title is "very easy to get" just like survivor nothing new and nothin Anet will do to change it

Very easy to get? Wow, that's news to me. Charr coming at you from all directions, no energy, no heals, no help, struggling to get to a decent level at level 8 or so because the highest level besides the Charr are lvl 5's worth maybe 20 exp per kill, so you try to kill the Charr for your exp and then once you get high enough you have to death level. Yeah, very easy title...

And Legendary Survivor isn't easy to get unless you leech off someone else. I don't want this title for Kind of a Big Deal. I want it because it's the only reason I'd make a Tyrian character, as it's my least fave campaign. It would be cool to have a title like that. It would look good in the Hall of Monuments. Legendary Survivor would too but that one...I don't know how so many people get it.

To the OP, watch how they patrouille and then lure them so you can stand higher or behind obsticales. Then it can be done with a lvl 7 mesmer

It is very easy to get but it would seem you dont know how. Just like the LS title 1 day is all you need, from the way your posting you have no clue how easy these are to get and refuse to spend a little time to find out how they are so easy.

The only change I want to LDoA is to remove the 10 minute time limit for reconnecting to the game server (this should only apply to presearing) when you lag out and this is only for the purpose of fighting global warming.This way players could switch off their modems and shut down their computers thus reducing their carbon footprints. Players would still be unable to play Guild Wars while death leveling thus it would only be slightly easier to earn the title. Otherwise aNet should rename the title "Friend of the Electric company" and possibly add a command that lets Legendary Defenders of Ascalon create a hardhat, the kind worn by linemen.

I tried for a few weeks, got the lvl 16 and blah... The one thing that peeves me is that yea, Armor should be better, and you shouldn't have to death level. All Titles should be unlockable for one character. I don't neccessarily agree with everything you say. But they could through in a few lvl 16's or 18's as bosses. It would still take forever, through them in the corner of the farthest reaches of the map, but at least that way you could get survivor and legendary. BETTER ARMOR! HIGHER LEVEL BOSSES! Not changing too much of the game, they've added bosses places before..

QQ about the amount of time spent. That's all this will ever be.

LDoA always reminded me of those Super Metroid hacks where you had to be familiar with the game's mechanics and quirks to be able to complete the game.

I hated them :P
