Some Account Questions.

First off let me state why i am asking about these next few questions. Over the last month my account has been "hacked" into 2 times. I know the persons IGN and even have screens of him bragging to me about it. How he got my pass was due to a major flaw in anets security system, it was a simple KeyGen he ran on my account for several hours till he got my pass word (he had my email from being in a former guild). I guess that is my first question to anyone who works/ knows someone who works from anet. Why the hell isn't there a pass word input limitation on the log in screen. Thanks to Anets lack of security i now have lost countless amounts of in game items 10 torment items included with several FoW sets. After confronting Anet, all i got was some retarded response, "Regrettably, there isn't much you can do if you've been hacked. We are not able to offer a restoration of any losses that may have occurred due to a hacked account. This is why it is so important to protect yourself and your computer.". That is also absurd seeing as how i provided screens and verification, but i guess anet is to lazy to look past their nose.

Anyway to the point.

When i bought my account i was stupid to say the least, and threw away my acces key not knowing i would need it to link my account to PlayNC (somthing anet should post on the damn access key, but what can u expect, its anet.) And now i can not link my acount to change my pass word, much less change my email adress which is the bigger problem.

My question to you guys is: Does anyone know of a way to link your account with out having to have ur access key. And is there anyway to contact someone in Anet besides the damn automated support system that does nothing about things like this, i don;t want my account back, i just want this kid to get a ban, and anets failure of a support system does nothing.

If you go into the ingame store, you should be able to link your account to a PlayNC account without providing access keys. However, if you ever forget either one of your passwords, it will be nearly impossible to get your account back.

In addition to what Sharkman said, you may want to use the key of another campaign you added to your account, if you kept the access key for them. Unless you bought the original game 2nd hand?

Which in not allowed...Re-sale on Guildwars is prohibited, says so on the packagin and I think the EULA

I feel really bad for you man :-(... I have read countless amounts of threads like this and the one thing that ticks me completely off is that they won't replace the stolen items! Weeks upon weeks of countless hard work is lost and they can only say sorry, we can't replace them, but try to have fun anyways.

Its not that i hate Anet, i love em, but im always afraid that my 2 years of hard work in this game will someday be hacked and ill lose everything, whenever they do something to get me banned or just steal my money and goods.

As for now i can just hope hackers don't see me as a potential target and i constently share my money with my bros account so i never have more then 200k or so in my storage.

Well there really is no way for them to know what the hacker deleted and what you got rid of without beefing up a lot of the security. Heck, they would probably have to backup each account individually. So just remember you cant really trust anyone on here with your account info, sad but true.
