Actually no, there is both a financial and marketting priority to get games out on the advertised date
Yes, we all know (and sometimes want) games companies should sometimes have waited a lil longer to release games that were crap on release, but once patched later on, were stunning examples of gaming excellence...
However, unless, like Midway/Epic Games saying Unreal Tournament 3 will be released "When its ready" (which is a brilliant marketting tool, the fanbois lap up any info they hear then), games companies are forced by the publishers to rush for the set release date, sometimes crippling games on release
And so far good example is Fury, even a couple of Devs and well known guilds are openly saying to wait until its patched before buying, even those that were all over the beta like flies on the remnants of your dogs dinner at walkies time
The gaming community has been reduced to a group of beta testers... How many of you guys here play a beta, then buy the full product and are bored of the damn game at release because its exactly the same thing with more maps or more whatever?
