Recently I received Sam and Max - Season 1 and I thought "Why not create an episodic adventure series based in the Guild Wars universe?" In any particular episode, players would not be restricted to playing their account characters but instead would play as Mhenlo, Cynn or the Guild Wars 2 equivalents. This franchise branch would allow players to explore stories of their favorite non-player characters or that don't necessarily fit within the flow of role-playing games.
Guild Wars: Adventures would attract a new audience to the Guild Wars universe, which could possibly draw them into the Guild Wars online play. Exploring the universe from in a different form won't appeal to some existing players and to remedy this problem, the purchase of an episode of a Guild Wars: Adventures would unlock an item (weapon, miniature, etc) or or items in Guild Wars online.
This post is honestly rather rough. I'm just thinking that the Guild Wars universe is really well developed and could easily lend itself to exploration in other avenues. As a fan of both Guild Wars and adventure games, I would be excited to both play and develop a product in this direction.
Thoughts?

There's a problem with using a different game to attract new users to GW. Mainly, if they play this spin-off game, they'll be used to its gameplay, and not to what makes GW what it is. So they will more than likely hate GW for not being "what it was advertised to be" in the spin-off version.

isn't it kidna like the bonus missoin pack in a way?

This makes an interesting mission-pack idea...

Bonus Mission Pack anyone?
I wonder if they'll make a second one.

It would be awesome if they added mission packs from time to time. Paid if needed be.

This idea is does not parallel mission packs. Guild Wars: Adventures are series of episodic graphical adventure games that exist in the Guild Wars universe. Guild Wars: Adventures just branches the franchise in a different direction, which would not require its players to own any other Guild Wars product.
World of Warcraft took an existing franchise in a new direction, which, I will argue, refreshed the franchise. The move from RTS to MMORPG worked wonders for Blizzard. My suggestion is not for Guild Wars to move the franchise from solely CCORPG to solely Adventure, but to instead branch it.

I highly doubt they'll be doing much else until GW2.. sorry. They are already pulling all their resources and money together for it cutting costs where they can.

I think dungeons are the best idea to come out from the team in ages, IT SO SIMPLE yet so much fun and the design of them is awesome. This is a good idea but I'd like more off-branch stories like meeting mhenlo in ToA and going to fight rotscale to get an item or something simple yet fun to do, Anet needs to relise GW should be kept simple because simple is good in these games and GW:EN did great at this.
GW2 in my opinion shouldnt be rushed and a small team should expand GW, theres so much content just look at the map!
Good Idea thou, /signed for relevance but unlikely.
