Hey, I'm fairly new to guild wars and as soon as I found out about the Survivor title I had to have it... and I had to have it maxed :P. Anyway, I have a bunch of questions.
1. This is a quote from gw wiki "Legendary Survivor (3) has been earned on a dervish in 26 hours using only the Nightfall campaign. Using Life Barrier, Life Bond and Balthazar's Aura on Tahlkora, and Mystic Regeneration and Stoneflesh Aura on the dervish (other six skills can be chosen freely). After reaching Level 20 in Istan, spiders outside Sunspear Great Hall were farmed in hard mode. Insight scrolls were used to speed up the process." And I'm planning to make a dervish. Is there anything about this paragraph from gw wiki that is outdated/patched?

It also says a Necromancer did it in 10 hours farming jade brotherhood knights in hardmode (Legendary Survivor). Without farming hours go into 100's.
2. What should I do to close the game in emergencies? I have a laptop with a melted battery and when I unplug it, it turns of instantly, should I just do that instead of pressing x?
3. You get 10k exp for befriending the luxons/kurz, when you're AB for the factions and you die does that mean it's over for your survivor title?
4. Doppleganger quest is for 50k exp, which is a lot, where do I find it? Is it worth the risk?
5. Another quote from gw wiki on getting XP fast
"The quest The Jade Arena in Archipelagos, southeast of Breaker Hollow is the fastest repeatable source of experience available to players with access to the Factions campaign (approximately 40,000 experience per hour).
Kilroy Stonekin's Punch-Out Extravaganza! is a good source of xp for the 2nd and 3rd parts of the title. Runs are approximately 10 minutes and yields approximately 8500 xp per run. Hard mode runs yeild approximately 20k xp per run. This includes 2500 xp for quest turn in but does not include any xp scrolls. The quests use the Dwarven Brawling system, this means that a player will be able to avoid death by activating the Stand Up! skill before a 10 count. You can increase your chances of standing up in time by both pressing the corresponding keyboard skill and clicking on it with the mouse as fast as you can."

Kilroy seems risky with the Stand Up thing and all, but 120k per hour according to wiki seems amazing. Is it worth it though? Or should I just stick to The Jade Arena? Opinions please

1. Nothing has changed that I know of, but I personally hate farming for stuff lite LS. I got it by capping elites back when there were no tomes. Another way is to doorman the Kurzick FFF found in lutgardis.
2. NEVER close the game like that, it will leave you logged in for 10 minutes, fastes way to leave now that there is a reconnect feature is to zonr to a city or /resign.
3. Any PvP deaths are real deaths. Minus some shinanigan arenas, liek snowball, and costume brawl, etc.
4. its in the desert in Tyria, definately worth it if you have a solid build, but do research before doing it. Also, the only way this would really be worth it is if you were willing to play through the games while working on your title. Like i said, I did it while capping all elites in the game, meaning i HAD to fight my doppleganger.
I wish you all the luck, its nice to max titles, but its gonna depend on what kind of gamer you are, if you wanna dedicate the boring time to farm it in HM elona, or if you want to play through the game and mix it up how you do it.

It only asks if you want to leave your party if you have a PuG or someone else in your group...because unless you're in the Deep or Urgoz, which you shouldn't be, you're not going to have more people/henchies in your group that can fit into a group in the GH (8).
I'd logout though...seems alot faster than hitting G and clicking a button. If you see bad things happening, two keypresses and you're gone.
Practice that too in non-threatening situations, so you don't panic and die like I did.

Is legendary survivor in 10 hours even possible???? the fastest i've ever gotten to lvl 20 was 4 hours =S that means they got 1M+ exp in 6 hrs?!?!!? or does that mean that they got to r1 survivor then got the title in 10 hrs?

this is what to do for i have 2 surviovios going for 3 now
1 start in nightfall
2 get a run to consulte docks
3 get ferrys to factions and 1st game
4a you run to market place and use dunk and other hero monk farm the frst 5 warriors there builds somewhere here on wiki takes about 4 hours to get to level 20 using lb scrolls
4b get a runto desert having 10k saved up you can get alll runs through the 5 mission to face your dop you willl be level 20 in less then 2 hours..
5 at level 20 by max armor
6 do all nifghtfall mission s(you can get run through the 3 hard ones)
7 go to goa
8 get 3 trap skillz
9 find a guildy"s that has rangers .
10 have about 20 lb scrolls use them when yu zone to viel, at this point do the following
1 get frist quest let mobs pass you by and let the trappers trap , you will have to trap also,
2 about 30 seonds before they pull run up to a safe spot on the side way up towards gloom but stay in compass of the trappers
3 most important have both rangers pull but make sure they both die before any emenys hit the traps but can sill have them agroo to spirits
4 watch firwroks get about 30k xp
5 rense repeat on second wave
then zone out do it all over again takes about 30 runs each run taking about 7 min (takes 3 hours) you can reach level 3 inabout 6 hours total time
just remember lb scrllls you will get 994 xp per kill there is 15 in each wave so 30 total 29,000 somthing with lb scrolls its about 9k a run
safest way i have done it cost you about 15k for all the runs you need and 10k for all the scrolls
do this in the (b) way and you never have to worry about leaving the game never had to myself
btw fastest way to leave the game is no even doing the guild hall trick sometime syou can catch a glitch where you in both spots for 20 seconds samethign with logging out
had that issue with my monk tili found this way

Well I got Legendary Survivor on my Ranger a while ago. I cleared most of factions and nightfall with a couple missions in Tyria. Did as many quests as I could in factions for the high exp and went skill capping 5k exp per cap and 10k during the double weekends
Did it the hard way and it took 100 hours all in all, had about 4 near misses when the game lagged or when it locked up on me completely.
I have a Monk with rank 1 survivor camping in Shing Jea, tempted to max it again trying the jade brotherhood farm in the marketplace.

To me, getting LS by farming doesn't make you a real survivor. Mine actually earned the title. Doing quests, missions and the 'double exp skill capture' weekends. No farming at all. If you can't get the title without farming or having others rush you through it, then..... well, I don't know what to tell you.
