ok today i was gettin a run past the fort ranik mission me and the onther 2 lower levels that were waiting decides to go kill stuff .. well i die and right after a charr martyr (SP?) drops a vial of dye[Black] O: for me

well i polotly asked if anyone had res..

well this ranger says "i do.. but im not going to i wanted that black dye u noob"

and the necro cant find me..

so after about 5 or so mins the necro catches up and res's me.. and i get told by the ranger "dont pick up that dye or im going ot send a virus to you"

"WTF ------ YOU NOOB ----- IM GUNNA KILL YOU IN REAL LIFE YOU FAT WORTHLESS VIDEOGAMEING NERD"

Welcome to GW, where at least half the population are retarded in some way (this is particularly shown during festivals). just be glad that they didnt zone out...that would have really pissed you off

I lol'd at the death-threat though, because I know full well, anyone who'd ever threatened me online would shit a brick if they ran into me in a dark alley. It's also not unusual for me to be hanging out in dark alleys.. I think the same goes for anyone who's had a death threat online.

'Do you have any idea what I look like or the kind of person I am? for all you know I could be some lunatic who'd be nothing more than glad to climb into a belltower with a high powered rifle and enough rounds to make France surrender!'

(Which, if history has told us anything, may be one or two bullets..)

Another funny story about a videogame death threat;

I was playing Jedi Knight 2 with some friends online and one of their friends who went to school with us but didn't know who I was in game but knew very well who I was at school, snapped on me like 'omg! stop for grip+throwing me off the cliff you cheap fag! I aughta mash your head in with a lead pipe, you better pray you never run into me IRL blah blah blah.' My friend Ben is like 'Dude, Drakken is *name left out for personal security* from our school, yeah, the tall scary mother f*cker who wears black everyday and wears a trench coat, he would probably stab you just for fun, never mind if anything you say ACTUALLY makes him angry.'

The next day a total stranger buys me lunch and I'm like 'who the hell are you?' 'I'm bens friend, from JK2..' 'Oh you, it's cool man, I'm actually a pretty nice guy, I've never stabbed anyone who never actually deserved it.' Ended up having lunch with the kid.

Next time, take a screenshot where this sentence is visible and /report the guy. This behavior is totally unacceptable, there's one point where words cross the line (I'm sure people like him won't mind). The guy needs a lesson of education, the hard way.

Now that you brought this to the forums, he's going to send a virus to us all!

Don't worry, it's a trap we've set up for him. We'll eat his virus alive!

Much worse things to get mad over than something so silly

You'll find people like this throughout the internet and on any online game you play. All you can do is -> if you have any evidence then /report or send to anet support (www.guildwars.com/support/) and let them deal with it
