Kurz or Lux

i'm new an trying to figure a few things out.Whats the diff. between kurz. n Lux for guilds or ingame play

There is no difference, it's just a side.

You are not barred from exploring the other side in PvE because you can still earn faction for the other side. There is no real inherent bonus for picking either side.

Luxons have Turtles, Kurzick have Juggernauts..............different looking Elite armour , thats about it really tbh

the only real difference is the side you play as in alliance battles. you can still play as the other side by getting a guest invite to another guild though. other than that easy access to the elite armor (you can't the other sides normal armor unless you have more of their faction or else they won't talk to you in towns) but you can get the other sides elite armor if you capture the town.

The Kurzicks are baby turtle killers and the Luxons are not.

Really, they're the same for gameplay, just different in terms of armor.

Kurzicks are the Gothic type
Luxons are the Pirates type
they have different looking armoursets
both sides argue alot

There's not much of a difference between the two. Neither side is better or worse than the other, and neither side is inherently good or evil either.

Just pick whichever side you like better - if you like walking through forests and swatting bugs, go Kurzick... If you like sandy beaches and fishing trips, go Luxon. Also, go to the wiki and check out the armor arts that each side has on offer to see which one you prefer.

Kurzicks are peaceful hippy goths who also have a habit of killing baby turtles and those poor Dredge who are squatting on their land after escaping the Stone Summit.

Luxons are agressive nomadic pirates who love chopping down trees and putting their criminals in arena deathmatches.

It's all personal preference really. I prefer Kurzicks myself, but will still go to the Jade Sea to kill stuff when the Kurzicks are on the assault. A change of scenery is nice. The only diference is Lore... and the Luxon PvE mission before the whirlpool is easier because of a kinda exploit thing.

Well the armors are the only obvoius difference, but belonging to a side can tell just a tiny bit more about your charracters and yourself as well.

Kurzicks are superstitious gothics that sing to trees :P Luxons are free spirited adventurers, etc...

From the gameplay perspective, the two Luxon missions are somewhat easier than their Kurzick counterparts. Although most elites can be capped on both sides, there is one assassin elite that can only be found deep on the Kurzick side. Kurzick faction is easier to come by than the Luxon one if you want to do some faction farming. The Kurzick area is somewhat gloomy and confined with patches of a quite annoying environmental effect (stone spores), the Luxon side is more colorful and wide open and the environmental effect (coral) is easier to spot and avoid. The available henches on each side differ more than by just a name and skin so you'll have to work out decent combinations separately (like, Luxons have a BHA ranger, Kurzicks provide a dom mesmer).

Nothing prevents you from playing both sides and that is also required for many titles (cartography, protector, guardian) or things like the black moa minipet (requires GW:EN).
