Starter Armor and Weapons
Zeek Aran
Does anyone keep their starter armor/weapons? I stole the idea from someone in an Urgoz run about bringing starter weapons with unmaxed vamp mods on them for the areas where people need to suicide, like Dunes. I keep my starter armor for reasons I don't know except for getting into one of those "I have more armor sets than you!" contests where they whip out their Obsidian armor and I pull out my starter armor. 8] Yeah, I'm lame. But besides 55ing and 600ing... is there any reason to keep starter armor?

Nah, though it would indeed be pretty cool to see my old ringmail hauberk. The nostalgia would bring a tear to my eye :_)

Reason: so you can say you still have it. I kept my ritualist's set, because Starter Armour can only be obtained once for each character. And you can't get it for that character again without rerolling.

i kept my monk's starter armor, just so i can create my farming set out of it (except for the headgear of course, since that thing's trash).

I kept my monk starter armor in case I ever use [skill=text]Spirit Bond[/skill]. I only play that character for farming, so it's good for that.

Be advised that skill details may be out of date, so be sure to click the link to wiki for updated skill descriptions. For example, [skill]Crippling Slash[/skill] does not list bleeding at the time of this post.

Can't say I've kept any of my starter armor. I guess because you can get something that looks exactly like it but is max (just not free). But that's just me. Nothing wrong with wanting to keep it. hehe And as for the weapons part, I have lots of starter green weapons but I have them all for sale for 500g because I have no use for them. I want max.

(also off topic - I use [%skill]name here[/skill] (but without the %), so for example...[skill]Spirit Bond[/skill])

I've kept my starter armor on most of my characters too. Part of the reason was the cool names like Initiate's Tunic or Dilettante's Gloves and the like, though they changed that for most of the armor. Oh well. Someday I might delete them if I really need the space, since it's getting kinda packed.

I've thought about it, but never bothered. I do, almost always, stick with the starter style for my first max set, though.
I nabbed someone else pant's in the leaving pre-mission once (they dropped them to pick up loot). It just seemed like a fun thing to do.

Don't have enough storage room as it is : /
You can't see me
I've never kept a single set of the stuff.
