Binding Ritual. Create a level 1...8 Spirit. All allies within its range holding an item gain 15...39 maximum Health and 10 maximum Energy. This Spirit dies after 15...51 seconds.
Well I looked up the definition of item on Wiki and that is basically anything in your char's hands (which is stupid because what char doesn't always carry a weapon?). Anyway, when my Rit raises this spirit there is no change at all in her health or energy or her heroes' health and energy.
My Rit has builds with 15 spawning power, so I was really looking forward to the boost. I guess it was just too good to be true.
Has anyone else had a problem with this ritual or am I just doing something wrong. I wish they would clarify the definition. Thanks.

Items are urns from item spells. Items are also considered bundles, such as flags, relics that book from that quest from FoW, etc. Weapons are not items as meant with "holding an item".

If you got the "Drop Item" button visible, that means you are carrying one.

Weapons, Shields, Staffs, ect are not concidered items you hold.
An item you hold is some object that requires both hands and replaces your equiped weapon/offhand.

Ok that makes more sense. Wiki needs to clarify that. They ID an item as "anything" you can hold and that just didn't make sense in the context of the definition of the ritual. Thanks everyone for your feedback.
Time to adjust that build.

Should be "under the effects of an item spell" imo.

I agree. Maybe I'll go in and edit the info. Thanks again.

Perhaps a change in the description? "While holding a bundle" or "While holding a droppable item", if it works with, as said, bundles that can be picked up in explorable areas. *ponders working a specific description of what this spell consideres "items" in the Notes area on the wiki*

Obviously the Wiki on this needs to be clarified.
