Some tips...

Look up info about the different kinds of monsters in an area you want to try vanquishing, and try to think of effective builds to counter them.

Give you and your Heroes the best possible equipment. Not necessery to be successful, but it can make things a bit easier.

If you got time for it, try doing Ascalon areas with a 6-man party by leaving from Yak's Bend, and do Krytan and Maguuma areas with an 8-man party by leaving from Temple of the Ages.

Protective Spirit is your best friend.

Killing all the monsters would be a good tip for vanquishing. Also, make sure you turn on hard mode.

Try to kill the hardest bosses in the area early on, so the amount of time wasted is minimal if you happen to get wiped (although consumables make this problem nonexistant).

My 2 cents would be load up on defensive skills:

[card]Ward Against Melee[/card][card]Ward Against Foes[/card][card]Ward Against Elements[/card][card]Aegis[/card][card]Protective Spirit[/card][card]Shield Of Deflection[/card][card]Defensive Anthem[/card][card]"Stand Your Ground!"[/card][card]"They're On Fire!"[/card]
[card]Throw Dirt[/card][card]Whirling Defense[/card][card]Dryder's Defenses[/card][card]Natural Stride[/card][card]Ebon Dust Aura[/card][card]Critical Defenses[/card][card]Well Of Blood[/card][card]Union[/card][card]Shelter[/card]...

you get the picture, the melee in HM can tear through a party pretty quickly, best to be prepared.

the hero bars I used for all of Cantha;most of Tyria / Elona

consumables are NOT needed...nice but not a necessity!

start with some of the easier areas naturally...Kryta is pretty easy...same for some Ascalon / desert / shiverpeak areas!

if you want honesty start in Cantha very simple and easy...xD did it before GWEN came out so no consumables so it is easy!

good luck! use the hero builds I posted I update them regulary as I find better alternatives to skills etc.
