drop question

i am playing solo tombs HM with my E/A and i use Recall or Shadow of Haste to return to safety,after i bomb them with fire magic.

but it looks like when I return back before monsters die they dont drop such good items or they even dont drop anything. But if I am around when they die they drop better items and stuff.

So can any1 confirm that?

From what i am gathering (from other posts) there is a reduced drop rate for things killed by AOE dmg. None of this is proven. It seems to be a the case when I destroyer farm for cores. My necro gets more as a touchie then a FoC.

Last three times i went soloing UW, i noticed a considerable reduction in drops. Don't know if it's just luck, but i keep getting phantom residue instead of the other drops.
