Black Moa Mini Pet Growable?
jkyarr
This may be a dupicate question but I searched the forum and didn't find any related threads so bear with me asking...
I just read over Zho's Journal entries on one of the Wiki sites and I was wondering, based off of the pictures (presumably from the Journal) and the descriptions in the journal entries, is it possible, after you hatch your black moa chick, to grow that moa chick into a slightly larger mini pet?
There is mention in the journal of the chick nesting in a box from cantha and eating/using as nesting material, some herb from Vabbi. Could these be reference to some further in-game items that, when combined properly could make the moa chick become a moa fledgling?
This is the source of my questions. http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Zho%27s_Journal
Reading the latter entries and viewing the pics inspired this post.

Branch of Juni Berries from feeding Chuno during the quest Insatiable Appetite out in Marga Coast.
item from NF
You'll need Nesting Material from the collector, Nuwisha in southern Resplendent Makuun for 5 Skree Wings. These Nesting Materials are fragile and cannot be dropped or traded.
nesting material
the box from cantha = incubator kit, btw
*havnt read much of chapters 10 onwards, but it seems to have nothing to do with the hatching process and might actually involve further evolution. my $0.02*

Worth noting that the Black Moa Chick is the only mini name not prefixed by the word "Miniature", either in your inventory or in the Hall of Monuments.
I wondered whether it would grow, but probably not. It's certainly classed as a mini by the HoM or it wouldn't go on the "Devotion" monument.

it will be grown up in GW 2,when it is 200yrs later, lol

Maybe in one year we'll start to get little surprises in our inventories...

Little surprises? What, like bird droppings?

I'll hazard a guess that the Black Moa Chick enables something Black Moa related in GW2.

It does seem as though it's meant to grow when you read the Journal, but the items used to "grow" it are the same as those needed to get it in the first place, and they only seem to be mentioned once, so......

I think its just that we have to keep our moa for a long time. A lot of people have just sold their pets for money, so i think the ones who actually hatched, kept, and used their mini moa get rewarded with an evolved moa...

I doubt the Black Moa Chick will grow. Its classed as a miniature by the game. The journal is just providing some interesting back story to Zhos history, how she got Onyx and the origin of the Black Moa. I'm not even sure why you would want it to grow
It will probably as Onarik said unlock something Black Moa related in GW2.

Also, I'm pretty sure that stuff mentioned in the OP was in Zho's journal to tell you what to get and whereabouts to get it, as it is required for hatching the egg. I guess we can take it as, in a roleplaying sense, they weren't needed to hatch the egg, they are there to nourish the chick, and that stuff didn't just *poof* when the chick hatched, instead the chick still lives in/around the incubator. The icon just shows what's inside.

you can just charm a full grown moa to fight by your side why wait for this one to grow if it even does but then it wouldn't be a mini pet
it would just be a pet
it would just be a pet

I was just reading a blurb about Guild Wars 2 where it mentioned that you may get some items/equipment/skills depending upon what you have in your HoM. Perhaps there will be some particular item or pet available if you have a BMC in it.

i wondered this as well, i doubt it will grow either until much later or when ANet decides to make the moa chicks growable. Perhaps GW2 will reveal a bigger version of the moa!
