If A-net Partnered up with Another Company
ensoriki
You all talk about GW2, so I'll Talk about a GW Spin off or GW 3 possibility!
Lets say A-net partnered up with another Game corporation, or a sub directory of a game company eg. FF directory of Square Enix.
Which company or directory would you like and if you want, what do you imagine would come from it.
I would like A-net and Pokemon directory (game freak) to partner up....
Then Pets would be leet....like super leet...
I'd also like for GW and Namco to partner up (specifically Tales of/Soul Calibur directory)
I'd expect a better written story, better character development (ergo Great PVE experience) and for better balance of pvp (You going to complain about NAMCO!!!!? The Pac-man men!?)
you?

Blizzard Entertainment, I personally think, since Blizzard has a lot of experience with running an MMO. Even if the setting of that MMO is basically a ripoff of Warhammer.

Historically, spin-offs from arcade/fighter games have been awful. I would prefer ANet keep to their roots and make GW2 (and on) non-grindy, visually appealing, and just fun to play.
The PC market has always been a lot more cutthroat than consoles, insomuch as you don't have a captive audience; so great games thrive and bad games quickly die a horrible death (see auto assault).
If they *had* to partner up, I'd like to see a team made w/ Bioware, (Baldur's Gate/KOTOR/NWN).

Never mind that, the designers of battlenet left blizzard so what's the point?

I'd like to see A-Net team up with FASA Studios of MS to make a Battletech MMO. This would be great since Btech fans have only the X-Box to look forward to for any future releases.
EDIT: With FASA running the simulator side, and A-Net doing plot/city side stuff. Kind of like you run around as your toon in the city or town or outpost or whatever just like Guild Wars, but when you leave town, you're in your mech and it converts to a simulator, just like Mechwarrior 4. Not sure if it's even possible to do.

i would like anet to team with either, all or any combination of the following : the ff branch of square + namco + konami
Count to Potato
Blizzard and Anet making a WoW GW combo would be nice, but i dunno...... seems fine to me right now
KamikazeChicken
Some Anet staff is old Blizz North, so I wouldn't ever expect them to team up, not that I'd enjoy the grindfest they'd create if they ever did. :|
Plague on a Stick
i wouldnt want them to partner up with any1 because they will mostly completly change the game mechanics...idjus like to see new staff in anet not nerfing everything fun
Bryant Again
ANet plus Blizzard would indeed be a happy time.
Thargor
I can't imagine that anything created from them teaming up with another company would be free online like GW is. If I look at the box and it has a fee to play it will go right back to the shelf and I will find something else to spend my money on, doesn't matter who made it or how awesome it is.
Monique
Blizzard. And then fire all ANet employees. And change the name to Diablo 3.
Nebuchadnezzer
Anet + Blizzard - The Fail parts of both companies and make it all equal to Diablo 3

Sony because they understand the free to play model but cannot anticipate that 8 specialized cores on a PS3 was a bad idea.
Their Online service is also free so it would fit the Arenanet model (too bad it is buggy).

NCtaiwan don't care how many GW are sold in Taiwan,HK.Rare Guildwar CM on Gaming magzine or Gaming TV,and Rare player in Taiwan,HK know, listen, play Guildwar。
Most Guildwar Player on Taiwan' server want to change the region, like US or EU.

A.net should team up with EA to make a Massive Multiplayer Online Football Game.

Since the original founders of Anet where all ex-blizzard people anyway, I doubt very much they would want to go back there.
If soe where ever invloved in ANY way what so ever with GW it would be the death of the game as everyone knows what happends to any game soe takes over or is involved with.
Aslo who apart from some sad blizzard fan boys wants D3 anyway. Its not the the other two where any good now is it.
If Anet where to team up with anyone the best idea would be Bethesda so we could have an Elder Scrolls MMO. That is of course if its not being worked on at Bethesda allready.

I should add more to this post..
Elder Scrolls MMO would be great yes, but not with Anet working on it. Bethesda does a much better job at RPGs. (*COUGH NON LINEAR COUGH*).
Diablo 3 would be great, so I could see that happening but with Anet's staff? I don't know.
IF anyone it would be SOE. Because last I heard EQ1+2 were great games.

Anet and Lionshead. Lionshead has an uncanny ability to pay attention to detail(example: Fable).

If ANet teamed up with...
Toei
Rangers would be renamed "Power Rangers". The only armor options would be spandex and crash helmets in various dayglo colours. No profession would be allowed to do anything in combat without doing a timestop henshin sequence first, and in the case of final bosses one of each profession must be present in the party to form the megazord.
Maxis
Characters would never be allowed to leave outposts, and would be forced to form family units and build homes within their chosen outpost. Discover each profession's compatibility ratings and pray that you can keep the children in line. Go on organised dungeon raids where you desperately hunt around the living room wondering where your significant other has hidden the remote.
Gas Powered Games
Each character starts off being completely inept at everything, but can develop in as many professions as they like by using skills from each profession (to develop into a warrior, go hit things with a melee weapon; to develop into a monk, cast healing spells and so on and so forth). Watch your step as you traverse a game world littered with thousands of plot holes.
Lionhead
Every profession would get a pet. In outposts, you can do anything you want to, but as soon as you leave an outpost you need to have your pet do everything for you as you become weaker than a newly hatched moa bird. Expand your influence and gain new skills by helping or terrorising villagers in other outposts.
Microsoft Game Studios
Every 3.5 seconds, the game will crash for no apparent reason. Good luck trying to grind when you find that the reconnect feature is just as bugged.

Let them partner with the manfacturers of Morrowind and Obliveon (Forgot the name), aNet writes the game engine and the other guys the story, awesome game that would be.
Hyper.nl
Hm, I don't want to see ANet partnering with others because I would be afraid they will discontinue Guild Wars sooner. Escpecially EA is a company I would not trust with Guild Wars.

EA is evil, I still won't forgive them for what they did to NoX.

Sounds like you guys don't want GW. You want a WoW clone. Or WoW.
Anet is saying they're going to keep doing their own thing, since making a game that's "like WoW, but..." is the kiss of death for many MMOs. And horribly unoriginal. Why would you want that?

I would like to see them partner with any company that will smack anet on the hand and tell them to get their shit straight
EroChrono
ANet should definitely partner up with the original team that made Chrono Trigger (I think it is called Mistwalker now, or at least part of the team).
They should abandon the whole GW crap, and make a massive Chrono Trigger based MMORPG, also bring in Yasunori Mitsuda for the music (of course). Although Akira Toriyama for character design wouldn't be a must, be it'd be great nonetheless.
It would definitely have the potential to be the best MMORPG ever created!! :B

um... why would ANET team up with Blizzard if the creators and owners of ANET used to be Blizzard employees that broke off from their old company to promate what they feel is right in MMO's?
shirosae
Anet should team up with idsoft, develop the network for use in idtech5.1, develop GW2 for that, and release across Windows/MacOSX/Linux on OpenGL.
Then id should ask Anet's art department to do the concept for everything else they do ever.
Then, they should subcontract Splash Damage for PvP balance.

Afterall Irrational Games had a pretty good track record on their games.
