Boreas Seabed HM
Marcello99
I've tried this mission several times and I can't get the trick to it. The first group that we must face kills my team not in a matter of seconds, but it seems when we kill one of theirs, they've already killed about 3 or 4 of ours. Is there a way to do this with H/H, or is it almost mandatory you do it with someone else with heroes? I've tried many variations of builds and such, but they just seem to change how long it takes to get killed.
Thanks for any help

Positioning is important, don't give Deaman the higher ground advantage or he will pummel you. Bring an RC monk. Don't underestimate the pets. Bring tons of interrupts and weakness. When one boss is down, the other will use resurrection signet. Interrupt it or just kill the rezzed boss again. I did it with 2 people + heroes indeed, I think with H/H this one can be a real pain.
Fun is, this mission PUNISHES people for bad positioning (Argo uses AoE spells, Aurora uses barrage, and deaman uses choking gas), so if you only use heroes there is a possibility to flag them away from eachother. Hench however, ouch, just ouch. Other fun is, under ideal circumstances you need a dedicated interrupter, a defensive char (think wards and water snares), an RC monk, a curse necro and yourself, that's 5 spots taken .
Seeing your profession is warrior, I hope you already figured out that tank builds are a no-no in this mission, you need firepower, I just point it out in case you didn't know yet.
I don't say it's impossible with hench, but it sure is hard. 1 thing to cheer you up, once you pass the arena the rest of the mission is surprisingly easy.
Edit: listen to tmakinen, aegis is more or less a must in every HM mission Just dont let deaman near your monk.

Some specific points:
* for the first fight, send one hero to the middle of the arena to trigger the attack but stay and fight on the bridge
* skills like Aegis and "Shields Up!" work wonders, consider bringing two copies of both
* Prot Spirit is (almost) a must against Argo's team
* it's extremely hard to complete this mission without a decent interrupt ranger - heroes do a so-so job so if you are not one yourself, try to find another real player

Target button on the hero panel really helps with that, you can stick an interrupter on a target and forget about him while you do something else. it helps a bit.

Yes, that helps a bit. However, my largest gripes with AI are that it's never heard of the concept 'line-of-sight' and keeps happily shooting at the nearest wall, and cannot prioritize the interrupts, swatting a gnat and letting the elephant pass

Use the terrain to your advantage, for the first 2 groups, stick everything on the sandy middle area hugging the cliff near the exit of the group. This way, all those pesky interrupt rangers can't hit your spellcasters and the few melee that you bring can tank at the ramp up.
For argo's group, locking a BHA + epidemic ranger on him works wonders. Kill him fast and once rezzed, kill him again.
Zhu Hanuku shouldnt be a problem as long as you have interrupts.

BHA > mission.
A bronze head a arrow ranger will shutdown Argo and almost any other boss in this mission. Daemon you can just over power, its not hard. |
