I wanted the boxes for GW:EN.

I had to buy 3 character slots x2 in order qualify (for my main two accounts). I didn't want or need them, but it was made very clear by Gaile that you had to spend the $29.00 in the online store to get it. It was also made very clear that it would not be available after the promotion. For sale or otherwise.

It was a limited time offer.

What people are crying for here is the same as asking for the CE upgrades to be added to the store. They said no to that. They should say no to this. The CEs were limited time offers too. People had to pay a little extra to get them, and once they were gone, they were gone. Same deal here.

In response to those here crying about they didn't have the money, or couldn't find a way to pay online....Cut it out. There was 4 months of notice. If you couldn't get off your lazy butt to get a job or use half a brain to figure out how to get payment to Anet you don't deserve the BMP.

If you have the time to sit in front of a luxury like a computer and play a game, you sure as heck have the time to go and earn the $29.00. Anybody old enough to play this game, is old enough to earn a buck.

But honestly, you had -months- to buy this one. They started crediting purchases ages ago, and in that time spant you only had to come up with $29.

You also noted prepaid cards in your original post, so I don't need to go into that as much here as I did on another forum - but suffice to say that even people with bad credit and no credit cards can get 'prepaid cards' in cash at a retailer and use them to buy things like this - without every showing anyone any ID.

And you had months to do it.

I did it over a month and a half - buying one character slot at a time. In $10 chunks, spread out over some 6 weeks, even someone on a dismal budget can manage it.

I did.

Everyone knew today was coming, and had plenty of time to be ready for it.

Only the people who just joined the GW community missed out. The rest of you all chose to miss out.

In the UK this game is a 12+ rating. Please get a clue.

Its not about money, I'd pay more than the current price for a GW campaign thats not relevant, its the access, thats the main point but as usual another person who doesnt read the thread just wants there crap say.

See this is why I gotta give my /notsigned stamp of disapproval. You had plenty of time to get it, why do you want to get it now? Right, because you went to the screenshot exposition and saw the pretty skins. Now you just gotta have it and Anet's not being fair. If you can get it now, why couldn't you get it in October? If you're willing to spend 15 buck for four missions and some skins right now, why couldn't you just spend 30 for Gwen, plus the 4 missions and some skins in the 4 months allotted to everyone.

There's only one valid complaint that I can clearly see, and even that one is iffy. That's the one that deals with kids who's parents wouldn't let them use their cards to get Gwen online. Well if your parents said no, they said no. That's how it is. You'll grow up one day and get your own credit card and you can use it whenever you like.

As for the stuff about different places not having credit cards, well, that's unfortunate, but I don't live in Korea nor do I have a complete lack of life that would free up my time to spend making the 100k +2500 ectos to buy it in the game. Why doesn't Anet put that in the online store for everybody? Because it was a limited promotion that's why. Sometimes deals and promotions come along and I'm just not able to participate in it, and that's just the way it is.

They gave everyone 4 months to figure out some way to spend 30 bucks in their online store. If you couldn't spend the money in their store then, well sorry. If you just started playing GW on November 1st, sorry. If you passed on the BMP because you didn't think the missions would be worth a damn, or because you really wanted that box and install cd, tough. These are the breaks, break it up break it up break it up!

The best awser until now. the only way i would agree with the idea of offering the BMP again would be under the same circumstace before: buy something above a certain price at online store, and gain the BMP.

Yes they implemented 2 other options one for the UK & 1 for Germany, last I checked Europe was a hell of a lot bigger then those two countries.

It was made very clear by Gaile that you had to buy an extra account if you wanted to play 6 classes when there was only Prophecies and only 4 slots.

And many -like me- bought another account.

Ok im not really sure if this is directed at me but I already have the BMP, bought gwen for that very reason online. That aside I dont think that anyone should be garanteed to play the game but rather that there should be some option at a later date to get access to the material, of course this could be said for anything thats been removed from teh game like arenas and what not so I totally understand why someone doesnt think this holds any water at all. Prehaps im being a little too nice and sympathetic to those who didnt get it for sure, but then again its doesnt cost me anything and it helps them out if they choose to spend the money, the BMP was a bonus to me and if someone thinks its worth 20 bucks to them then i think anet should be able to sell it to them regardless of what I think or what anyone else does. That being said its not going to happen at all lol so this is all for moot

It was a choice I made to pay extra. The point here, is that it was my choice.

i think rewarding people who brought an expansion or a couple of charicter slots over some other players is wrong.

its not a case of not being able to afford it, or not having a credit card, i can afford it and i have a card, some people like me refuse to put their card details online.

i think the bonus should have included everyone who added a key code to their account any time for a new expansion like eye of the north.

Yes, yes, you wanted BMP, your 1st choice was to buy things you didn't want/need, what's the 2nd choice?

I disagree with you there, it was meant to get pople to use the online store not just to get people to buy games. So any new expansion should nto work at all. I think that it should be for sale to people who want to buy it buy it for about 20 bucks, should cover all teh costs associated with it but still make sure that only poeple that really want it are getting it and anet would still be making some money

As many have said, its a limited time offer. People had nearly 5 months to get this. You didn't know about it? Well thats your fault for being oblivious to the advertisement when you log in and/or when you go on the main site. Stop bitching and move along.

Edit: I understand some people didn't have credit cards. My question is, if you didn't have a credit card to buy from their online store to get it then... are you going to if they released it assuming they did not sell it in stores?

How is that example comparable or even remotely associated? At the time that was a retail offering, where the ability to add character slots didn't exist. You did have to buy multiple accounts if you wanted to play more than four classes.

Whatever Gaile made clear to you, was the truth. Same as in the relevent arguement that the rest of us are discussing. One I would invite you to join, if you can keep your ideas on track.
