Downloading The Landscape...

I have a very slow internet connection and I didn't realise that the way Guildwars loads the enviroment was by downloading it from the server. It takes me about half an hour just to get into the game after logging in! Is there a way I can download all the maps so I my computer can just load them from the hardrive instead of a long download wait?

I'll save you the problem of using the very easy to use Search funtion. Just add the -image switch after your Guild Wars shortcut and then run the game. Once it's done, remove the -image switch and play as normal.

Whatis this -image thing?

Ok, I get it now but once I have downloaded all the files I won't have to do it again ever right?

You shouldn't need to do it again unless you delete the gw.dat file or something.

The game may download some additional files when there's been a game update but this usually doesn't take more than a few seconds even on relatively slow connections.
