I was just thinking that these two options would improve the "appear offline" function.
1) An "Appear Offline" option that is similar to the "Save Email" clickable in the log on screen. This would enable players to log on anonymously without having to rush to hit N and change their status.
2) Everyone has at some point or another tried to buy or sell something to a player whose status was set to appear offline. The people doing so generally don't even realize they're set to appear offline, and more often than not will continue to message you, getting angry at you not returning their messages. Therefore a reverse form of the "The player you are messaging has his / her status set to", wherein the person whose status is set to appear offline would see a message reminding them that there status is set to offline when certain circumstances apply:
A) When initiating a party search, wanting to buy or sell an item.
B) When sending a whisper to another player.
C) (Some other circumstance wherein this feature would be useful)
Just some thoughts, I mean its not a big deal..but I think it would improve the overall usefulness of the function. Thoughts?

I don't like the rush to hit N either when I'm just doing something quickly or want to avoid some random irritating person. My guildies are cool so I don't have to worry about whether or not the wrong person can see that I was online a minute ago, but this could still be useful.
Also I've gotten that second problem before; some idiot PMed me asking how to get the mini I was selling once. When I tried to explain, he turned out to be Offline. Thinking he was being ignored, he repeatedly spammed me. I managed to get his attention in local, and he was embarrassed because he'd forgotten to change his status. It'd be useful to have some sort of "message from X could not be delivered because you're set to Offline" or something.
