Flurry vs Restful Breeze
Hyprodimus Prime
I want to play a Mobius Sin in HA, but I dont know what to add to my extra slot. Advice?
Sir Pandra Pierva
Hmm depends i would say. are you doing hit and run spiking?
Or Stick in there spam spiking,
Granted I don't HA much anymore but that will really change what you are doing. If hit and run spiking I would run restful, but other than that flurry

Simply put, Flurry.
Saphatorael
Well, you have a spare slot. What do you have in your other 7 other than Moebius Strike?
Mist Walker Skarloc
Yanman is right, take Flurry. If you wanna be attacking all the time, Restful Breeze won't be good. If you're hit-and-run spiking, you want an IAS to make it quicker. Though I don't know why your elite would be Moebius Strike if you're hit-and-run spiking.
Sqube
Moebius means you're sticking in there, which means Restful Breeze is worth precisely nothing.

Oh...
[skill]Shadow Walk[/skill]-COMBO CHAIN-[skill]Dash[/skill]-[skill]Restful Breeze[/skill]
Works perfectly in AB and RA. Well, granted, less in RA since the fact that I'm not able to attack for a while hurts more. But in AB there's always a quiet spot to refill HP.

Flurry it is then, Im still new to sin, but I can see now why Flurry would be preffered, Mobius is supposed to be pressure, not pure spike. Thanks guys.

Yep. If you're pure spiking, [skill]Tiger Stance[/skill] is also good. But [skill]Flurry[/skill] is cool if your combo recharges quickly. The - 25% damage only effects base damage from your daggers which sucks anyway, the Bonus Damage is not reduced.

Why most shadow prison sins use tigers stance then?
i agree 7-17 sucks so [skill]flurry[/skill] ftw o and is it a core or prophecies skill ?

Flurry is prohecies only.
I didnt know the damage reduction was only for base damage. Is it the same for weakness?

so your bonus from the skill goes from 16 to 15 dagger mastery means 2 less bonus damage by death blossom i geuss
and 7-17 x 0.33 > Dagger base damage

I think people overexaggerate how weak daggers are. Against 60al (15%dmg + customized), they do exacly 11 less damage then swords. Somewhat big difference but, daggers crit very often and do double strike.
Flurry does noticably decrease your damage against squishy targets but as armor goes up, Flurry's downside becomes less of a problem.

The chance to double strike only applies to normal attacks. Nobody wants to make a normal attack with a dagger, they want to use dagger attack skills. Daggers are baed without skills. Using a good spike chain, you can kill someone with non-max daggers as well as you can with a max pair. (Ok, not always. If, say, your max dagger chain kills someone with 5 damage overkill, the same chain would not kill them with non-max daggers. But that doesn't happen that often, does it?)

Not exactly true, it is somewhat of a good decision for a sin to auto- attack.
Just never on there main target. If someone sees the sin auto attacking them your main target is generally someone who is a threat. So if you just start auto attacking them. Your giving them time to react, which is a noooooo Nooooo!! Flurry can reduce your damage by about 2-3, and a critical strike damage by like 3-5 I think (not wasting time on math =P) Flurry is good for your long chains....or getting energy back from zealous daggers. If your going to auto attack you should have vampiric too. Anyways beside the point >.> Flurry> restful breeze is you have a long chain. If your just pulling off the standard L-O-D chain, take restful, your combo isn't that long. L-O-D chains were long 1 1/2 years ago (sin birth) they're not very long now. IAS work with 3 skilled chains, but there best in O-D-O-D chains as they are much longer. (that 1 skill addition actually makes it rather long) Take restful +dash or something if you have a small chain. Subtracting your damage to speed up a chain, thats not long enough to be caught most of the time ANyways >.> well theres no point. Bobby2
That's funny I tend to go LDODODODODODODODODODOD before warping back. I can actually use the health refill quite nicely.
Scenario was against an N/D MM, it was fun to watch his minions fall down around us as massive damage was redirected |
