New to the game and wanted know what class would suit me.

I like playing melee most of the time but I'm also use to WoW but i gave it up for good and I don't judge game's by slower play but I do want to give it a shot anyways.

I wanted know what class would make you feel fast like a rogue /warrior .

Also I like PVPing but not the way they have it offering.. The premade chars lol thats just freaky but maybe I get use to that later on..

Any info would be great and maybe what sub class too..

I have also the Faction exp.

WoW and GW are two completely different games. As you're coming from WoW, I advise you to throw all preconceptions about MMOs out of the window for GW and if possible, forget everything about WoW (or at least avoid comparing the two games).

The two most straightforward professions are the Warrior and Elementalist. Both of these professions are very noob-friendly and are ideal for learning the basics of the game.

If you're into the whole rogue thing, you might want to give the Assassin a try (may only be started in Factions) although Assassins can be rather difficult for new players to handle. All the same, don't let that stop you from creating one and trying the profession out. In fact, you will always have a minimum of 4 character slots so feel free to experiment with all of the professions and see which ones you enjoy most.

More of a question type thing, so moved it to QA forum. I'm not sure why you say 4 slots sounds harsh exactly, but there's only one server in GW, so there isn't much of a reason to make more than one of each of the different classes. And for each other campaign you get, you get 2 more slots, so if you have all 3, you have 8 character slots out of 10 classes, which isn't bad.

4 character slots isn't too bad when you're just starting out. And you can get more character slots; adding a new chapter to your game account gives you two more character slots for a total of 8 slots if you have Prophecies, Factions and Nightfall (and also increases the size of your storage vault as an extra bonus). Eye of the North doesn't give you any more character slots, but EN is an expansion that requires existing characters rather than a chapter that lets you create new characters. I think the people who preordered Nightfall also got another free character slot (though this was over a year ago and my memory is a little hazy). And extra character slots can always be purchased from the in-game store if you really need another slot

the more character slots the better....after you have played awhile you might want to test other classes, with more slots you can try more and more, and the ability to add more (thru the online store) is quite handy!

4 character slots turn into 8 after you get NF and Factions.

WoW warrior = W/R probably (Warrior/Ranger)
WoW rogue = A/x probably (Assassin/any)

just don't go W/Mo with mending and healing hands and you'll be good. If you going to go W/Mo don't advertise you are a tank (this isn't WoW) and have 7 warrior skills and a monk rez.

Well WoW equivs for gw are like

W/Mo for paladins- not that great......at all
W/R for WoW warrior
A/any for Rouge

Going back to W/Mo, if you want to play paladin, play a dervish (like paladins but they accually have Dps)

I agree with Alex about the WoW--> GW comparisons...

Generally I find it easier when starting out in a game to start with a melee class just to get the feel of how the game runs... Then after a bit I switch to the ranged classes...

But its all up to you... Play around and see what you like...
