i know you probably get this alot but what kind of graphics card would be decent for this game. For instance im gettin a new computer and i want it to actually run textmod files. lol my sisters laptop cant use them
i might get a proper state of the art gaming desktop or just go for your average laptop (saves the cash).
most laptops have the intel card which isnt suitable i beleve for gw. i did see a basic laptop with :128MB nVidia GeForce GO 6150 Graphics - will this be good for guild wars. Will the textmod files such as cartographer files run properly.

Thanks in advance

The GeForce Go 6150 is also an integrated video card. While it may be better than the intel counterpart, it's still very low-end. It will run GW since GW also runs on intel chipsets but don't expect anything fancy. There are a some laptops with good cards that sell for around $1500 if you are willing to invest that much in a laptop.

Decent gaming laptop while run from $1k upwards..you could build many desktops that play GW with that money.

The 6150 would be a much better graphics solution than the Intel integrated graphics. There are also some even better nVidia (GeForce) and ATI mobile chips. You could go to the nVidia and/or ATI websites and look up the specs for various mobile chips to get an idea of what you might want to look for.

My buddy picked up a 15" Dell Inspiron with 2.0ghz c2duo and nvidia 8600 256MB vram for $800 from the Dell outlet. The item was marked "scratch and dent" but looked absolutely brand new out of the box.
