Whats a good sword for me to use? I have a nightfall character. I have all 3 games and the expansion pack(If that helps). My nightfall is currently a W/Mo. He has 10 swordsmanship unmodded. He currently uses a crappy Fiery Dragon Sword 15-21 damage 20%+ Damage. Please answer my question. Whats a decent sword for me to buy and use.

1. Don't say "you have a good enough sword" Or something like that. I want my question to be answered.

2. Don't suggest a sword that's a lot of money. I have 1platinum and 129 G. Suggest me ways to make quick money for my sword. Remember not to suggest swords that are like 15-50k or something like that.

If you want a decent weapon and are on a budget then you should be looking at collector items only.

Any sword that is 15-22 damage and +15% damage while health is above 50% is fine. If you care about skin, then you may as well stick with your FDS until you can afford to be picky. It's not like it matters in PvE.

1) that sword is crap (if that helps)

2) go with collector swords if u want a cheap sword that works well...+ they have max dmg and mods and are req9 so u arent dishing out a lot of gold if u don't care about skin too much.

My best advice is to farm greens, although that might take a bit of experience.

There is no such thing as a 'best <insert weapon here>' There is only, what would work best with my current build. Many people will say that sundering is crap, others will say vamp sucks and sundering is da bomb. In the end what's best is up to you.

You really need to be less demanding if you want people to genuinely help you. That being said, your single best bet for a great sword would be to save all the little trophies enemies drop when you defeat them, and use guild wars wiki to find out where they can be exchanged for more useful items.

Furthermore, if you get a blue, purple, or gold sword and ID it, use an expert salvage kit to get the mods out of it, if you don't like that item as a whole. At some point, you will find a basic sword that you will like, to which you can then apply the upgrades you got from other sword drops to improve it.

Lastly, a lot of this game is about looks - getting a sword w/ max damage isn't all that hard - getting one w/ a certain look or a certain mod (like a +30hp mod as opposed to a +29 one) is much harder. You have to be less picky...

I know you didn't ask for it but my advice is to get more than 10 in swordsmanship.

I'd say if you have enough time just beat Factions and get one of the green swords. I can't totally remember the mods but I think they were decent and some of the skins aren't too shabby.

this has got to be one of the stupidest questions from an experienced player. if you want good stats, get a collector sword - max damage, req9. if you want a good skin, well, you'll need a crap load of money.

so the question for you - what kind of sword do you really want? if you're doing mostly pve, any max damage sword will do. hell, your "crappy" fiery dragon sword will do. but since you don't want that answer, and you don't want an expensive sword, you're left with collector swords.

In my 2+ years of playing, I have gotten exactly 2 green sword drops. The majority of warrior bosses drop axes and (ugh) hammers; the ones that do drop swords seem especially reluctant to give them up.

Yea just play the game and don't worry about this until you max out ur skills and attributes. Then when you get up to 10-25k maybe more buy a green sword. Victos blade is pretty cheap, not sure if they are being sold much anymore. If you have Nightfall, treasure chest run. I got a few nice skinned and powerful gold swords that way. Plus u get around 35k that way.

Greens are fairly cheap. Just check guildwiki for the stats, pick one you like and try to buy it for cheap. Most decent green swords hover around 5k iirc, that shouldn't be too hard to make.

some have already suggested it but simply play through nightfall/factions/EotN and you'll get a free green item of your choice after the last mission (there's a sword to pick in all 3).
and if you play through nightfall be sure to pick up all these free chest(http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Treasure), they give you a couple of platinum in gold as well as gold inscribable weapons
last, if you desperately need a better sword right this instant get a collector sword ^^
