Just curious, what type of inscriptions do people usually run on focuses and shields?

My tank is looking for something to stick on his shield but he uses neither enchants or stances. He also has mending touch so the conditions ones don't seem that useful any suggestions? All the while I'm curious what people use on focuses for casters.

Bad players run -5 (20%). Good players run +10 vs a specific damage type and have multiple shields.

Focus items are a lot more flexible, for general pve play +5 armor above 50% health +30 is fairly solid; I prefer 20/20 offhands and wands on most casters sans monks, who can use a hsr 20% health +30 offhand as a solid choice.

i tend to run +10's in pvp, in pve i just take whatever looks nice

I only use a focus when im low energy, still a shield most of the time, so it take +energy mods an a focus.

Condition ones are mostly useless except for mabay cripple in a runner or such.

I run -5/20 in PvP as well: only bad players don't shift their damage type (only speaking of melee)
and for my focus: HSR 20 and +5/-5 on my negative set

For shields i agree +10 to a certain dmg is good. Offhands im divided on, for necs i like HSR or +1 20% most others i like 20/20

i usually -5/20 b/c thats simply what i have on all but one character. on that one character i switch between two +10s

focus i usually have 3 different ones, 20/20 20/+30 and 15-1/20, on shield, -2 stance/enchants, +10vs. -5(20) imo is a waste of money(PvE) and doesnt do whole alot better(PvP)
