Budger Problem

I have been trying to do the HOS dungeon myself with henchies and for some reason Budger never appears in order for me to blow open the wall.
Yes I have completed Gwen and basically it was just to fight Magmus ,I was wondering I am doing something wrong or what as I have tried this on 3 seperate occasions.

He was in a different place for me when I fought magmus rather than Cyndr - he was waiting round the corner from where he first appeared, next to the snowball trap, right by the first group of skelks.

What I am trying to say and make it more clear is that I am trying to get from level 1 to level 2 of the dungeon but Budger never appears for me to blast the rocks,hence I am still wandering around and nowhere near Magmus.

Yes, I mean that is where he is on level 1 of the dungeon when you first meet him. ie not in the same place I first met him when I fought Cyndr. If you've got all the way to the cracked wall that you need him to blast open and still not spotted him though, then... well, I can't help.
