Why do ppl pull Mallyx to the door and fight him there?

Just a qn Why do ppl pull Mallyx to the door and fight him there? Was very curious since ursans pug always die at the 2nd part of Mallyx due to the nrgy draining listless spirit. Is there a particular meaning to pulling him to the door and leave the spirit alone. O_O~?

Answers will be very much appreciated.

Basically, fighting him at the door prevents summoning shadows from working (and from having to fight other guys).
