Logic screen..

Why is the login screen always the GW:EN one? I want factions or prophecies, i never saw prophecies before. Many of my friends get confused with this, it doesnt make any sense at all, it makes it seem like its a different game.

There has been many requests to add an option to change the login screen, but no such feature has been added. I just hope it will at some point, because I would like to see the original Prophecies login screen...

Its not possible. Many new features have been added since the game came out. For instance, when Prophecies was out, there was no way to buy character slots (and since there won't multiple game there was no way to link accounts), therefore, the login screen only supported 4 characters. Factions added the ability to display 4 or 6 characters. NF added the online store, etc.

Because that's the latest game.
There are links and pictures still hanging around. Am sure they can be found.
Again, it is the latest product and is partly meant as advertisement for anyone who doesn't already have it. I.E. your friends.

About that. I totally get why the only way to have the Prophecies and Factions screens would be to rework them, but I don't see why they wouldn't be able to use the Nightfall screen. Has mechanics really changed that much from the time that Nightfall to EotN that we would actually need a new screen? Yes, I know, I've already answered that myself; advertisement, partly if not mostly.

Regardless, Gaile has already said it isn't possible with the old screens and she would pass it on that we would like that option.

ye i dont even have EotN but it still shows that log in screen whats up with that?

It doesn't matter. Whenever a new game is near release-they change the log-in screen.

as Smile already said, the login screen is a form of advertisement to the people that play the game, but do not own the latest addition.

yeah dont quite understand why we cant have the factions and nightfall screens....we had extra character slots then (I have screens to prove that--and extra characters!), though the original prophecy one by the fire was nice you could see your whole character standing next to the others (and find out just how short a monk really is!, btw there is a thread in riverside I think about "I remember when" and closer to the end than the beginning of the thread there is one poster who has a shot of the original login screen with his toons).

Well the factions and Nightfall screens were very similar to the EOTN screen we have now, jut different Flora and Fauna.

Ok, we all know from the ANET that it isn't possible, plus this has been discussed 20 billion times

I would like the proph login screen again too, but sadly we can't do anything about it, so....
