Is it just me or do the weapons you craft in EoTN, with the charr slaying mod, not work at all? I've tested my regular vamp daggers and my vamp charrslaying on the same type of Charr in Ascalon, and there is 0 difference. The highest crit I could achieve with both sets on a Charr Firecaller was 93+3. I haven't tried the daggers on Charr in EoTN, but I'm sure I won't notice a difference. So, save your money :-p

The Charrslaying mod probably only buffs your base damage, which on daggers, accounts for an extremely small part of your total damage. Assassin Dagger skills have loads of bonus damaged added to them, but I don't think the mod applies to that.

If you had the Charrslaying mod on a Scythe, Hammer, or Bow for example, I think you'd notice much more difference.

Actually, there is a known bug with the crafted charslaying weapons. They don't provide max damage in non-charr areas (ie, using a crafted char sword with wild blow on the PvP isles to test its damage will result in lower then expected damage).
All the charrslaying weaps are bugged outside of Charr areas.

Almost correct. They're bugged when you're not hitting Charr. For instance, the mantises in Charr areas take very low damage also.

I'm sure they only work on the charr IN eotn... as does the lightbringers gaze only work against shadows IN elona and not on the shadows in FOW...

I mean if the exact same shadows can take the dmg in torment from LBG but they CANT take it in FOW.. anet obviously want you to only use theses 'advantages' in certain areas

try testing the weapons again in EoTN, just a theory

I did some experimenting a while back with vs enemy weapon mods;

Against Dwarves I tried a

Max 15^50 +20 customized weapon vs Max 15^50 +20 customized +20 vs Dwarves

Hoping for a nice hit improvement in Sorrows against Dwarves I found both weapons hit for the same amount on average the +20 vs Dwarves really made no noticeable difference at all.

I tried the same thing with 15^50 +20 customized +20 Deathbane and +20 Skeletonslaying vs just 15^50 +20 customized in FoW again hoping for a nice per hit improvement and neither of those mods made any noticeable difference against their perspective enemies.

So I from what I can tell all these types of vs enemy weapon mods are broke, never have worked, just all show and no go.

Hmm, wonder how long it's been like this. Troll farming outside Droknars was more efficient with +20% mod back in Prophecies time imo though.

Have to test it tonight to see if it's true with other slaying mods.

Finally got around to testing the daggers in EoTN... No difference in damage. At all. Even base damage.

i kinda feel bad, i sold thousands of +20% charrslaying mods before GW:EN release.
