Character Selection Screen

How many of you have loved one of the campaign's character selection screen backround?

I know I did - the Guild Wars: Factions screen.

I think that ANet should allow people to choose which screen they want to see when they log in. Don't get me wrong, all of the ones they had were amazing. I personally loved the Nightfall screen aswell.

ANet had an idea about character customization (faces, hair, hair color, skin tone); as well as customization of you UI. Why not allow us to decide which character selection screen we want? Isn't that a little bit of customization?

What do you people, of GWGuru, feel about this?

There was some technical reason which made sense why you cant. Not that I can recall what it was exactly.

lg might be right it might be technical. I would LOVE to have the original campfire screen though...that's still my fave with all of them in the bg and the selected char stepping out front...ahhh good times

I would love to see the prophecies loading screen, with the old Irish Violin Music, and the column in the sea. That would just make my year to see that again.

well its still possible to listen to the music by going into the online store and selecting that campaign...but id love to see the old background everyone rants about

I actually like the one on right now the most.

The NF one and the current are just blahhh. I miss standing in the middle of the sea. I loved watching the whale come up for air. I loved seeing the volcano. ;-; It was soooo much better than the current. I don't even find anything interesting on it.

how long we stay at the login screen when we play the game?? so why dont use the time+money to fix some game bugs, adjust some skills, rather than do something about our login screen. personly i really dont even care, i am playing the game, not the login screen tbh.

The 'in the middle of the ocean' screen got me to stare at it for a while. It was very amazing.

There is no excuse for not using search.

You have a point, but a lot of people do use the login screen to take screenshots of their characters' armor and such. At least I do. A great background always compliments great armor. It would be cool if we could choose which screen to display.

now I can understand why for technical reasons we cant go back to the one by the fire (my 25 toons just wouldnt fit), but all the others should be doable. I had extra character slots from factions on (that was when they did that). So it cant be because of the number of characters.
and yeah I, too, take screens from the login (some of my characters just dont take other shots well...my ele is always glowing and the login is the only screen she usually doesnt on).

please let us have the other ones back!

Still say they should cycle the older backgrounds once a month or so.

cycling them would be such a good idea....i don't like the one that we have now...

With the Proph screen, yeah it'd be "technically challenging". It was only supposed to house 4 characters (doesn't mean they can't optimize it or use the others, though.)

A good valid reason against it, though, is that "they're working on GW2". So yeah, don't expect a whole lot...
