Hardest Campaign for guardian?
Tanis Fatalis
Me and my friend are going for legendary guardian and we hav nearly finished up cantha (12/13 just eternal to go ). We were wondering which is the hardest campaign to get the guardian title and after any tips on difficult missions in Nightfall and Prophecies. Thanks in advanced.
Racthoh
Tyria because it's so long and boring.
You can't see me
Well, let's break it down like this.
To get Gaurdian in Nightfall, you need strategy and good builds.
To get Gaurdian in Prophecies, you need TIME and lots of it.
That's about all the two require.
Tips? Use basic countering on all missions.

sickle of carnage
Prophecies....it's very long...and very lame

Cantha seems to be shortest and easiest but at the same time the most fun. So WIN WIN.

I H/Hed almost all of em, really there aren't any too hard. The only times that really give any problems are where you are forced to split, or have to protect certain npcs. Off the top of my head, here are the ones that could give problems:
Prophecies:
Nolani Academy: Rurik can go leeroy (Never happened to me but I know some people lose because of this)
Aurora Glade: The bonus can be tricky, but if needed its very easy to do bonus and mission separately.
White mantle in general I found surprisingly tough in Hard Mode (Compared to other enemies)
Ring of Fire is surprisingly easy.
Nightfall:
Dzagonur can be frustrating since sometimes your npc help will hold out fairly well, other times it will just fall apart.
Jennur's Horde: I hear some people complain about this a lot, though there are certain tactics that make it easier.
Overall all of the straight forward ones are easy. None of the HM groups really carry enough counters to be able to stop an 8 man group (especially if you are using pve skills). You should be able to steamroll through it with 2 players and 6 heroes, if not just find a few more players then do it again. The one that took me the most tries to finish was Eternal Grove, if you guys can handle that you should be able to take on anything else thats thrown your way.

Tyria because it's loooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooong
OOshadeOO
wow i thaught it was just me having lameness with tyria, doing abaddons mouth atm and why does this bonus person haveto walk so slow :S
creelie
Tyria, because:
-there are more missions to do
-many of the missions require teams of 4 or 6 instead of 8
-a lot of the bonuses are really easy to lose.

Cantha because of Eternal Grove. Everything else you can pretty much do on your own in your own free time.

As for tips:
- Nolani Academy: Never roll with Rurik. Take the back way and assassinate Bonfaz on your own. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just hang a right turn after you cross the wall. You'll eventually figure it out. It's one of the oldest mission shortcuts in the game.
- White Mantle: Minions and hexes make these guys die without a fuss.
- Aurora Glade: Save yourself a bunch of frustration and do this two different times--once for each goal. Remember that the center shrine (closest to your crystal) is the longest run for the enemy, and you can dictate their course and pace by controling it often.
- Dzagonur Bastion: This mission's goals might make you think "defense", but you're better off blitzing. Colossal pressure is the best way to get through this without any problems.
- Jennur's Horde: Minions are king here.

I found Tyria pretty easy, Elona has some slightly trickier missions.
william1975
I have Elona, and have found it easy,
I'm in the midle of doing Tyria, but its longwinded,
I have tried some cantha and i hate timed missions, they are so much harder.
Difficult missions usually have good guides on the wiki guides i used them for elona

Tyria was pretty easy just very long and in the jungle's case repetitive.
Cantha wasn't too enjoyable with the timed missions.
Nightfall was probably the easiest for me.

Definitely not Tyria. Though it's long, nothing stands out as being overly tough.
Elona is harder, with such missions as Dzagonur, Jennurs and Gate of Madness.
Cantha is the hardest because of double damage bosses, time limits and 2 party missions. Worst parts are Eternal Grove, Vizunah Square, Gyala Hatchery (without sneaking around the back) and maybe Raisu Palace.

Got my Elona Guradian before GWEN was out and I actually found these the hardest:
1. Blacktide Den (WTH, this 4-man mission is ridiculously hard)
2. Gate of Madness (a real pain, but got it done with elite PUGS)
3. Bastion took a few tries - raw power is the key (I was LB8 at the time).
4. Jennur's Horde wasn't too bad - you do need at least a few people in this one, and 1 runner definitely.
I got the hard missions in Cantha (which include Eternal Grove, Arborstone, Viznuah, Nahpui etc) done and have a difficult ones left.

Want to know why Blacktide Den was so hard? It's an 8 person mission.
Navaros
Pretty much only the 4 man missions and missions where you must keep NPCs (with wonky AI) alive are hard.
Jennur's Horde is not hard at all, and does not require a runner. It's very easy to do in Hard Mode with 2 people, 6 heroes, and no runner. It bewilders me why so many people find that to be hard.

Tyria is fun. Hate on the 25 mission length, but all the missions and bonuses are varied, unlike the other two campaigns. Problem missions on it: Aurora Glade, Nolani Academy, Dunes of Despair (just do the mission and bonus separately), Elona Reach (can NOT be run), Hell's Precipice (Sparks can kill VERY fast).
Elona can be the toughest, since the monster powercreep goes insane right about the Desolation, and the timed missions in those are difficult without good planning and execution (who hates Grand Court and Ruins of Morah?). Problem missions: Dzagonur Bastion, Pogahn Passage (the enemies can mob hard after rescuing Kormir), Jokanur Diggings (4 player constraints), Gate of Pain (the massive fire damage MUST be protted).
Cantha is short, but sometimes deceptively so. There are a decent number of missions where the time limit can be an issue. Problem missions: Gyala Hatchery (just do it backwards), Eternal Grove (the most high-charged Siege you've ever faced), Sunjiang District (the Constructs hit very hard at Level 30), Tahnnakai Temple (bring 2 MMs, human ones), Raisu Palace (some mildly annoying sections in NM become hair-raising pains in HM).
In general, have a balanced team build. Some missions are easily done with Heroes and Henchies, while others are required full-human. Don't get discouraged by defeat (I failed Aurora Glade HM something like 12 times when I failed it never in NM), just analyze your mistakes and roll back in for another go.

I say elona. Gate of madness pisses me off. Dasha vestibule went easy when I knew whats going on.--->frigid armor. Gate of desolation: Somehow start gave me serious problems.---> dual smite. But, still need gate of madness for legendary. (Almost got it yesterday but my friend HAD to go when we capped shrines.

Cantha was the hardest for me, Eternal Grove was a pain.
Tyria is just... too long and boring... bonuses that take 30 minutes to complete sheesh.
Elona was quite easy, but Dzagonur.

Eternal Grove hands down, Vizunah as a good second. Those were really nice in HM but we had to try a couple of times .

Dzagonur isn't so hard when you use Pain Inverter and rush the bosses. It can be a while until you can get a group together that actually does this. It seems that some people will never listen and will keep returning to the bastions to protect them from waves.
The trick is to rush the bosses. Monk, Warrior, Para, Ele seems to be a working order.

Cantha, but that's mostly because of Eternal Grove HM. also the time limits are annoying.

I found Tyria to be much more difficult (maybe because it was longer and lots of non-max level parties). Elona was easy, easy to the extent that you can H/H the whole place. Only ones that might be troublesome is Mohdok Crevice and Dzagnour Bastion and to a lesser extent, Jennur's Horde and Riholn Refuge (overaggroing after rescuing Kormir). I found the last few Prophecies missions much harder than the Realm of Torment missions
Overall I would say the hardest in EotN. Destruction's Depths makes me cry

W/P God Mode - Makes H/H HM quite easy. Tyria so far has been easy, Elona has had some tricky spots, and I haven't started Cantha yet, due to the retarded timer crap.

Till I got the idea how to run the crystals in Aurora Glade, it was really hard and annoying:
Sometimes the bonus guy got killed, and then I needed several tries to figure out how to run the crystal to make the Mantle split up so that I could defeat them easily.
Now that I know the "how to do", it is no longer as hard, there are more difficult missions out there.
But still, what gave me the most gripes was Aurora Glade, so my vote goes to Tyria, which is besides that indeed quite long and annoying. I also screwed up aggro at the final fight in Thirsty River, had to do it again... brr.
Ugh, I am already looking forward to assault the stronghold in hard mode...^^

Having acquired Legendary Guardian recently and going H+H for the most of it, I found out that most missions are generally easy but have some specific issue you have to manage for a successful completion. Out of my head I can remember the following:
Tyria
The early Ascalon missions: bring enchant and hex removal. Having 2 Charr Shamans at the same place spells trouble (Fort Ranik and Surmia bonus). Rurik leeroys (Surmia and Nolani), be prepared.
Frost Gate: there is a strong group with 4 Dolyaks between you and the bonus - bring at least 2 enchant removals to stand a chance
D'Alessio Seaboard: undead pour in like mad during the assault. Ward of Stability keeps your support team on their feet.
Aurora Glade: actually very easy when you have at least 2 players - one player runs crystals while the rest gank Demagogue, then come back to complete the crystal run.
Sanctum Cay: bonus and mission best done separately
Dunes of Despair: easy to H+H with the Necrotic Traversal trick, may require several tries
Elona Reach: aggro control is the key. It's safest to first clear the right side up to but not including the crystal, then backtrack and fetch the left crystal, then the right one
Cantha
Zen Daijun: the shortest path is not necessarily the fastest. The rit boss on the bridge can instawipe your party, come prepared
Nahpui Quarter: start with the kirin, work your way to the phoenix. Aggro control is crucial, MM is a bad idea (turtles steal corpses)
Tahnnakai Temple: aggro control - with smart pulling you can break the mobs in manageable chunks
Boreas Seabed: you'll regret not having an interrupt ranger
Gyala Hatchery: actually trivial if ninja'ed
Eternal Grove: you must contain the afflicted warrior boss or it's gg
Elona
Pogahn Passage: ele boss at the end hits hard, bring interrupts
Rilohn Refuge: see Pogahn Passage
Moddock Crevice: bring snares, a water ele with Mind Freeze would be ideal
Dzagonur Bastion: bring speed boosts, concentrate whisper groups on one side (east), wipe generals from west to east
Jennur's Horde: bring patience, it's a trivially easy mission as long as you don't try to rush it. A party wide speed boost helps, too.
Gate of Pain: interrupt ranger is your best friend
Gate of Madness: The lich has an adverse effect on the well-being of your party, let one player lure Shiro away while the rest gank the lich (don't feed the lich, bring direct heals instead of enchantments)
As a summary, each campaign has their own stumbling blocks, and it's difficult to say that this one is harder than that, as it depends on your play style as well. Tyria takes more effort, Cantha less.

Tyria is hardest imo. It takes so long and the jungle misions just made me want to kill myself. Elona was fun and cantha was easy imo.

I found Elona to be more difficult than Tyria. Tyria was longer, but I got many of the missions on the first try. Elona was a lot of trial and error.
I haven't tried much of Cantha because I suspect the timers and coop missions will be very annoying. Also, I've been able to H&H normal mode masters at eternal grove easily, but I suspect HM will be trouble. Is it henchable alone?

I did that with my friend and 6 heroes. 6 N/Rt to be exact, two teams. We did that on a first try but one moment was crazy, it was goin so easy that I stopped payin attention and then Maaka showed up (war boss) and insta pwned my team. I was like WTF has just happened O.o But my team mate saved the day so with a bit of caution its not hard (Just blind and cripple him and he's gone).

I had no trouble at all with shing jea island, still other people get slaughtered there. I was able to make pretty solid 4 man builds thanks to my TA addiction .
MM is pwnage in about every canthan mission, except shing jea island, for some reason the mm only got in my way there. It had something to do with 25% of the party being useless when the minions died.

Wiped the first time, completed the second time. The only tricky part was the Norn area where you can get overwhelmed.
