Ascending on NightFall

Hey,iv been doing many quests trying to get my guy to ascend so i can pick a new second profession but i cant figure out how to get that far is there a faster way to get right to the quest?

MAYBE if you told us how far you were now we could help you. They quest you need to do is named "Hunted!" btw.

I tried to ascend on my sin, but I wasn't able to -.-
Why is it only nf characters can ascend in NF. That's the impression i got.

i believe you have to finish a cammand post quest and the hunted quest to ascend

Technically, there is no Ascension in NF, Hunted! counts as though, right?

I did all the quests on my canthan monk (not weh no su) and I still can't change my secondary profession because 'I'm not Ascended or Closer to the Stars"

Hunted! only ascends Elonian characters. As a Canthan, you must complete either the Ascension missions or the Nahpui Quarter mission.

Will the ascension missions ascend anyone no matter of birth area?

My experience with the three games says you must ascend or the equivalent in the game you started in.

I have a Monk now at the crystal desert in Prophesies still not ascended.

She cannot ascend in Factions or Nightfall, so no short cuts for her

So
Prohesies its the 3 desert missions then fighting the doppleganger path.
Leading to Droknars forge then the two missions to get a full 200 pt character.

Factions its fighting the astral beasts in closer to the stars, which is far faster and easier.

In NF you are ascended before you know it, 2 missions on the start island gets you 200 cha points.

Sorry but you are incorrect.

I just ascended a Dervish in Prophecies this past weekend (for the 50k exp. bonus) and she's still on the starter island in NF.

Any character from any campaign can ascend for the first time in Prophecies or Factions by doing their associated missions. I'm not as certain about foreign characters ascending in NF, but my understanding is that they can not. But having ascended 12 characters now, and quite a few of them not in the campaign they were created in, I am sure of the first part of my statement.

I think you may be confusing Ascension with the attribute point quests (I say this because you mentioned getting 200 attribute points.) Those are specific to the campaign your character was created in. NF born have to get the requisite amount of sunspear points, Factions have to do the 2 quests on the starter island, and Prophecies born have to do the 2 quests available after finishing Ascension.

Ascension missions (IE: Thirsty River, Dunes of Despair, Elona Reach PLUS Doppelganger battle) only 'ascend' Prophecies and Factions characters AFAIK.
