Star Strike explanation + Raisu is HARD

Apologies if this is an oft-asked and answered question (I did try and search for it, but had no joy), but:

I'm trying to do the Raisu palace mission, and....

..How exactly does star strike (the celestial skill thingy) work?

Quote:
For 10 seconds, upon every successful hit by you or a party member a level 20 celestial attacker is called forth to attack foes (maximum of 6).
.....

(The number of minions controlled by any one party member is tied to the Death Magic Attribute.)
So...is that 6 minions MAX, or a maximum of 6 per person?

I'm mainly asking because the death-magic dependence becomes largely irrelevant if it's a maximum of 6 TOTAL: unless there are more than one or two sins in the party, it's basically a minion each (I'm usually using muppets...I mean, Henchies, and so even casters can be relied on to merrily wand away at things).

Conversely, if it's six per person, it'd be very tempting to go A/N and stick a few points into death magic and pray that lukas and devona can time their swordstorm spamming correctly...but then that would require me to drop my /R secondary, which (thanks to BHA) is the only thing keeping the elementalists from destroying everyone with sliver armour.

Daeman and Vasburg clearly didn't go to interrupt college, as far as I can tell.

So, yeah: potentially 6 minions each, or 1 each until 6 total?

Also, any tips and tricks for getting through the palace as an "A/anything" would be much appreciated (and yes, by this point I know I'm not a tank).

1 minion is gained foe each attack per person.
So only 6 minions in total, as far as I've seen.

minions + sword storm work very well indeed.
Maybe Death magic does play an effect, I've only used the skill three times.

If you're not interested in the master time, just do it yourself. Shiro is pure physical damage, so it's not hard.

It'll take a bit of time, but take that, go by yourself, and leave the celestial skill behind. Easy like Sunday morning.

It's the pre-shiro palace mission that's giving me trouble, and I can't seem to find any PUGs, mysteriously: there just..isn't anyone in the pre-mission location.

I just hero everything. grab a mes with some ints or setup your ele's to kill faster than what sliver would. also, if you see sliver go up, just call a different target constantly, it keeps the henchies/ heroes off of the ele's.

You need a good deal of debuffs to get rid of the nasty eles there. Bring a mesmer with shatter enchantment and drain enchantment, and a necro with other debuffs as corrupt enchantment. Heroes are good at debuffing quickly.

Yeah, I keep thinking how easy a lot of it would be with my Necro (a well of the profane would be handy, given how much they eles bunch up, then just stick SS on one and MoP on another, call that one, sit back and laugh).

It's not a very sin friendly mission, all told.

(also, no heroes: I'm a "Proph/Factions only person" so far)

It's definitely looking like "real people" is a better bet at the mo, I guess.
