Best skill use you've ever seen?
Darmikau
I was in Alliance Battles, the Ancestral Lands, and we had just started, my team Luxon. We began to run to the nearest capture point and a rogue assassin shadow stepped right towards the point. He instantly realized he was the only one there, and he activated dash to try and run the other way. I then looked over and my warrior teammate shouted "You're All Alone." We then proceeded to pummel the assassin.
Best skill use I'd ever seen, I was almost on the floor laughing.

I seen someone use Resurrection Signet once in RA. Was quite amazed.

Are we talking about clever use of skill combos, or just brief flashes of genius here?
When I first saw someone make brilliant use of Shadow Stepping, a while back. The TRUE hallmark of a good assassin IMO.

Holding off and killing 2 sins, a warrior, and a ranger's pet in AB single-handedly with a so-called noob riposte/glad's build. I liked that battle.

solo'd an entire team repeatedly in an AB battle... using a cripshot ranger.
sometimes i wonder if there were actually people playing those characters. they were so stupid/predictable it was hilarious.
who COULDN'T keep up the stances on a stance tank? anyone who couldn't should be checked to see if his brain is still in his head.

I don't know why we're comparing, say, a perfectly timed diversion on a bsurge leading to a push with idiots attacking through glads/riposte in AB.

I'd have to say Flame Djinn's Haste. It's a rather versatile skill thrown on a survivor.
It's more impressive seeing a good play than a good skill use when it comes to PvP. Good skill use is somewhat redundant, unless you're watching two deficient teams battling it out to see who is less retarded.

Fun fact: Monks are adrenaline junkies.
The perfectly-timed big heal, rescuing someone a split second from death, is something most monks experience every day.
Also, I'm pretty sure people have interrupted my Protective Spirit. That was impressive.

I've seen quite a few. But my absolute favorite would be on The Ancestral Lands in AB. I was in the Kurzick castle thing, I was on the upper level near the priest, when I noticed a group of Luxons coming through the door to cap the points inside. I AoD'ed down and took out the monk. An assassin tried to take me out, I AoD'ed back to the priest and the other sin deaths charged right to me, instant death .
Later on in the same match, I was running around solo capping, since everyone else was mobbing, well, turns out the Luxons were mobbing too. I capped the ranger shrine, looked at the compass to see an extremely large mob coming at me. I charged straight to them, AoD'ed to the person in the very back and ran to my Kurzick mob, where the two mobs started to fight. I canceled AoD and took out another rogue sin [the same one that deaths charged me]. ^_^

Took down its block, dodged his distracting shot
Started my combo, took a disrupting Dagger in the middle of the interrupt, I then hit the next skill before I realized I had just lost my combo.
Went to kite and ate a enduring toxin >.>
>.> that ranger is great >.>
That or the Sin in AB at the beginning of factions, me vs him ( I wasn't as good with the sin as I was now)
Mark of instability popped up, I attacked, We both did twisting fangs but I went down and he finished me >.>
Thats how I found out what mark of instability does.

i know it was mainly luck but it still made me chuckle.
i love just watching on observer, be it guild battles or HA when you see a perfect spike happen, especially if its one from a more "balanced team", ie not 8 icy veins

My personal favorite was taking out a dervish with my Mesmer using Backfire. I just could sense he was going to cast mystic regeneration. He was whacking on a warrior. So I started casting and finished casting it as he started casting and zap he was dead.
Edit Oops… read the post wrong the favorite skills I seen used was when I was in RA and our Mesmer was Resto healing everybody. Signet of illusions was getting a workout that day Not one person was killed everyone on the opposite team kept attacking the monk. While we took them out one by one.

Was working my Mesmer to Marhann's Grotto for 15k Enchanters way before Factions was released. Figured I'd just do Ice Caves and Iron Mines, and then fight my way there from THK. When I loaded Iron Mines, I saw someone "Running to Grotto for tips - self invite". So, I joined up. After he had a full group of 7, he gave us rules for the run.
1) no afk
2) follow him as close as you can
3) no stopping to fight
He asked us before we left if anyone was infused. Nobody was. The only running skill he used was Charge!, which allowed all of us being run to stay with him. We reached Ice Flow with only 3 people getting killed.
The first group you face in Ice Flow is a large group of Ice Imps. The runner told us to run in at them first, not to stop, and marked the path for us to take. The 3 with DP died from the Imps, the rest of us made it through.
Next group we faced was more Imps, and the same thing happened, but nobody died. When we reached the last segment, he told us to run in again. This was a small group of Ice Imps, and behind them was a LARGE group of Mursaat. We all died from Spectral Agony, rather fast. When I died (only one died after me) I targeted the runner to watch him finish, if he could. I saw him load Mending while he was telling us to run in first, but was highly impressed to see a PvP skill being used in PvE, and to great effect.
What I saw was:
Charge!
then, as he hit the Mursaat, and our corpses:
I Will Avenge You!
His health never dropped below 75%

I was testing a sin build on the Master of Damage. It uses [skill]Shadow Fang[/skill].
I casted which warped me to the MoD, let off my chain, and /bow ed at the exact same time Shadow Fang ended. It looked pretty.

Proberly this mesmer i once met with PD he could seem to interupt anythign with easy, and never missed a good skill, needless to say i got owned >.<. I find good interupting to be the most impressive thing to do.

I have so much respect for people who can infuse well. Most PVP monks have infused at some point and it is night and day between who is good and who is bad (I am bad). Interrupts take skill (<3 PD) but they are usually just watching one target and then annoying him during his 2 second cast. But with an infuser, that .25 seconds can be the difference between a victory and a party wipe.
I had a great time with some N/Me combo before Discord was on the radar.
[card]Arcane Echo[/card][card]Discord[/card]
would often take out 2 people attacking me at once. And then dancing on their corpses was fun too
