I myself have 4700 hours in 40 months. But most of the hardcore players won't even post here. I know several top gvgers which have plenty over 10.000 hours. A guildie of mine (top gvg) has accumulated over 18k hours and another has over 15k hours. And yes, most of that time is actually played/observer mode.
