Old Ascalon

k i came in to tyrian from factions, i had played factions as first game and got to lvl 20, then got prophecies and did quest to go to tyria. i automatically skipped sum missions and areas, and i dunno how i can get to old ascalon...

can sumone likes how me way on map or sumthing?

You landed in Lion's Arch in Tyria. The quests there will lead you further west. To go to Ascalon, you need to run back, eastwards from Lion's Arch.

Well look at a map on wiki or something then run yourself to beacons perch, and from there pay for a run to yak's bend and the rest will be pretty easy.

Keep in mind, coming from factions and going back to Old Ascalon, you will not receive any rewards for missions you complete and will not be eligible for any quests prior to Lion's Arch. All you get really is drops and occasional xp.

However, you do get to see that part of the game and if you are going for the title, you do need to finsih those missions and bonuses in order to get credit for them for your Protector of Tyria title.

I was about to guide you to the gates of Kryta but I see you have done the hard bit, What did you think of the Hydra's ?

You are pretty close now to ascalon Since you are doing it backwards I think its allowed to use a map to show the way.

Not that anyone was talking about HM, but if you do the missions East of Lion's Arch in HM (for the Guardian title, or just for fun) you will get experience points, skill points (for both mission and bonus) and mission rewards regardless of your character's origin.

It will get even easier as you go further back as the monsters get weaker and weaker and are usually easily killed or avoided. Although the Charr Altar on the way might prove a bit of a challenge the first time through due to the huge numbers of Charr there.

Ascolon City is also the place you need for a quest during the Winter Fest.
