W/D help with a build
Doomscreamer
I really like the idea of using a scythe for its natural aoe, but alas when I made my main warr was the best available (I wouldn't trade him for the world of course). I'm looking for a good, efficient build that utilizes a scythe. I tried the one on PvX and it left me empty.
Barring that a good W/P for hard mode would be cool too.

You want to know why you can't find any good Warrior scythe builds? Because none of them come close to matching the DPS of a good Warrior build. The natural AoE isn't a big deal, if you like the idea, get [skill=text]Cyclone Axe[/skill] or [skill=text]Triple Chop[/skill] or something. If you want a decent W/D build, you could get a cookie-cutter build and throw in [skill=text]Rending Touch[/skill] for tricky enchantments or [skill=text]Pious Haste[/skill] as a cancel stance.
A good W/P HM build? How's God Mode sound to you?
[card]Enduring Harmony[/card][card]"For Great Justice!"[/card][card]Dragon Slash[/card] Brawling Headbutt [card]Steelfang Slash[/card] "Save Yourselves!" [card]Flail[/card][card]Healing Signet[/card]

So many people recommend Save Yourselves, but to be honest I really dislike farming Kurz/Lux faction. If only amber/jade exchange added points to the title when Factions was first released.

W/D Scythe Build:
[skill]Warrior's Endurance[/skill][skill]Power Attack[/skill][skill]Counterattack[/skill][skill]Victorious Sweep[/skill] ***Whirlwind Attack*** [skill]Lion's Comfort[/skill] ***Optional*** [skill]Resurrection Signet[/skill]
15-16 Strength
12 Scythe
The Rest in tactics.
Works a treat, one of my favourite easy going PvE builds for my warrior. I usually use the Dervish luxon skill, Aura of Holy Might, in the optional slot to add a bit more damage. You could sub a few points out of strength for tactics if you wanted something like Watch yourself, just make sure that Warrior's Endurance can be kept up all the time (i.e. Last more than 30 seconds). Counterattack is great and works for E-managment as well as good damage, power attack at 16 strength does +42 damge which, on three foes especially, is great. Victorious Sweep and Lion's Comfort add a nice heal and whilwind attack for extra AoE.
Hope you like it, have fun.

Agreed. Geez, I'd be like level 10.

Marty, that build for w/p is PHENOMENAL! Coupled with a hero support paragon/hybrid prot and heal monk, it owns. Very nice with a rotgort spammer, ToF Para, and WoH Protect hybrid monk....
Now I just need to farm TONS of Luxon Faction so I have to spam Save Yourselves less and it'll be awesome... Marty Silverblade
Don't worry about getting it past 3 seconds, you'll probably still end up going DSlash -> SY -> DSlash -> SY after every DSlash anyway. Besides, I can't be bothered getting past Rank 1 and I've Hero/Henched over half of my guardian titles.
Oh, and btw, it's not called God Mode because it's a nice name :P iridescentfyre

"For Great Justice!" makes it unnecessary to increase the duration of "Save Yourselves!". It doesn't really need to stay up 100% of the time anyway. Besides, the duration for SY! scales upward incredibly slowly. By rank 7, its only increased by two seconds. At max level, its still only 7 seconds. Don't bother.
Use it tactically, i.e. save it for a moment when your party is or is going to take a huge hit of damage. Steboy93
Couldn't agree more with marty, I have been using that exact build for some time now and it's put me up to 3 missions off legendary guardian, if you use that build you won't go far wrong

I like the build.. but why heal sig when u can use lions? :S
p.s. im not too good with wars.. well not yet anyway. oh and "Save Yourselfs" is definatly a good skill to have on your bar, usefull and can stop massive spikes at times.. MisterB
Lion's Comfort vs Healing Signet is a matter of preference. That Godmode build is all about massive adrenaline gain and Dragonslash spam, so draining your adrenaline with Lion's comfort slows your momentum. Also, Healing Signet does not require adrenaline, so it can be used anytime.

MisterB got it in one. Heal sig sucks in a fight because of the armor loss, but if you're the target of every attack your monks shouldn't have to worry about healing anyone but you. In any DS build diverting adrenaline from your spike/buff is never a good idea. If you take a second to heal yourself, then re-build adren to hit DS, then try and hit SY your squishies may die when SY wears off during your adrenaline down time.
I have used Heal sig mostly between fights, or if I'm really desperate. Qdq Swi
