does anyone know how to force anisotropic filtering in GW using
a X700 pro radeon card? should that option be done in directx or
openGL? (don't know which one GW uses)

i think GW might use openGL. try that, if not, that leaves directx.
im not 100% sure though........

GW uses Direct3D (DirectX) for the graphics.

Theres an option in the cataylst control centre, it allows you to choose AF.
